The answer is no. The nutritional values on the back of this product have never been important to me, even though I've used it for years. Is that what I see with my eyes? Sugars are ADDED in the form of 16g. Oh my gosh. There is no truth to this. There are many people with diabetes who use this as an alternative to sugar, only to realize that it has added sugars, which totally negate the low glycemic claims.
If you prefer tea over coffee, then this sweetener will work for you. Takes a very little time, is much better for you than regular sugar, and doesn't seem to cause any side effects. There isn't a lot of taste to it. It continues to last a long time. The sweetening acts solely on what you need sweetened. The only thing I have a problem with is how it pours. You do not have to worry about leaving any on the outside of the bottle if you do it carefully. A customer said that this is the second time she has purchased this product and it is organic!.
As far as reviews for other brands of this agave go, broken tops were a common problem, so maybe the brand I was buying would not have that problem. The brand also had the same problem, and it looked as if it was dropped and then packaged again. Please keep your Empirical bottle if you like this brand so that you have an appropriate container to pour the product into. I inspected the seals under the cracked caps. They were fine. I will clean them off and put some of the liquid into.
There is nothing wrong with the product. This is what I used before. It's the shipping and packing that's the problem. The tip of the product is broken on both sides. To use previous product top, I will have to use the previous version. We're not happy at all about that.
Originally, the value was much better, but I have diabetes and this is the only low-cost food I can eat This sweetener has a low glycemic index but it tastes exactly like sugar instead of other sugary artificial sweeteners that are not healthy and have yucky aftertastes. I use it in My guests can add their own sweetener to home-made hot chocolate I make during the winter months when it's cold and I have Agave, sugar and other sweeteners out for them. Agave has always been a top pick with them over the years.
I was thrilled to find this agave here since I have not been able to find it locally for a fair price. The overall experience is great and the taste is great. Despite being glass, however, the packaging was very surprising because there was no padding between the glasses. It was fortunate that they were intact when they arrived.
When I need to add sweetness to recipes, or hot tea/coffee, I add Agave Nectar to them as a supplement when I have diabetes type 2. It's really good to buy two, as the price per each is really good. In comparison to the oatmeal photo shown in the description, the blue agave in these packs are lighter than that shown in the description, and the packaging is different than that in the description instead the packs I received are transparent and reveal the contents of the package, which I find to be a benefit. Having started with Wholesome, a reputable company that makes a great Agave product, I'm looking forward to tying this into my regular regimen, as well as utilizing the convenience of these single serving packs while on the road.
