I'm not sure why the word "Raw" was not printed or displayed on the package. The nuts, on the other hand, taste raw to me and are extremely fresh and tasty. After soaking them overnight, I dehydrate them in my dehydrator for about 48 hours. I hope this information is useful.

What you should know about walnuts is that they are a type of tree that grows in the United States. The paper skin that protects the nuts' meat from oxidation and rancidity is like a body glove. The shelling process only causes minor damage to that skin. br>However, if the nut has been washed, cleaned, or activated, or if it has been exposed to heat or moisture - The nut will swell, making the paper skin more vulnerable to damage. If the nut has been tumbled or poured from one vat or bin to another, or sorted excessively with mechanical equipment such as conveyors, or tossed around in its packaging! the corners and edges, as well as protruding lobes - Many of them have a walnut in them - EXPOSING the inner meat, it will be chipped, scraped, and broken away. br>Almost all walnuts shipped to distant buyers are in this condition. This allows the oxidation process to begin, resulting in oxidized and unhealthy meat. br>THIS NUT HAS BEEN SEVERELY DAMAGED IN THIS MANNER. br>The nut you want is dry, with the skin intact and a cool grey color. color of brown - It doesn't have a warm, translucent look to it - and without any edges that have been chipped. When biting into a nut, look for one that has a crisp texture. br>THIS NUT IS NOT SUITABLE. br>This nut should not be purchased.
Walnuts have recently been a challenge due to the bitter English walnuts with dark skins that are commonly available. That isn't the case here. To get the best flavor, carefully roast them in a low oven. Honey has been added to the mashed potatoes. They're a great filling for puff pastry.
They appear to be old, but more importantly, they are unpleasant to eat. Walnut Creek was my home for the majority of my childhood. I've always loved walnuts and have eaten them my entire life, and these sounded delicious from the reviews I read. I'm not sure if it was just my batch, but I won't be ordering them again. Kirkland organic walnuts from Costco are far superior, but I'm still on the hunt for the best organic walnuts.
These are quite fresh and have a pleasant flavor. This is a good price for organic walnuts.
These are said to be "raw" in the online listing. There's no mention of raw or unpasteurized on the actual packaging. I believe these are raw in the sense that they haven't been roasted, but I doubt they are unpasteurized or un-processed in any way. heated. Don't be taken in by the pretense.
The title is self-explanatory - They've dried up and are half-decayed. I can sift through them to find ones that appear to be a little more fresh, but even those have no flavor. I also doubt these provide the same health benefits as fresher walnuts. br>br>Instead, look for something else.
My previous bag of walnuts was brimming with whole, undamaged halves. This bag was full of pieces that were completely covered in a fine dusting of walnut granules, as if the bag had been handled a lot and in a rough manner. Disappointed, I was. I would not have ordered from Yupik again if this had been my first order.
Yupik came into my life by chance, and I'm overjoyed. I will definitely be ordering again in the near future.
