The products were of high quality and tasted great, and I look forward to ordering them again from the same company when they are needed again. In my bag, the rancidity flavors were noticeable in a highly spiced dish, where the rancidity flavors were the dominant ones. The rest of the walnuts went to waste and I was even forced to wash the plastic container where I pour my walnuts because it reeked of rancid nuts after I tried these because I usually buy a different brand, but they weren't available. There is no way I am able to speak for all bags. I can only speak for my own I've bought dozens of the other brand, and not one of them was rancid. It's important to hope that it's just a leaky bag or something like that and not their usual problem. The next time I buy this brand, I will not buy it Let's see how hard I can work.
First time I have ever purchased Kirkland walnuts, actually the first time I have ever purchased walnuts online. I have always purchased walnuts from the grocery store, but when prices increased, I decided to look around, and I came across Kirkland brand walnuts for a reasonable price. My husband and I do a lot of cooking with nuts, especially in the fall and holiday season, and I buy them in bulk and put them in our deep freezer whenever I find a good price while finding them so that they are readily available when we My reasoning for purchasing this butternut squash over a month ago was that I would use it for baking in the fall. It hasn't been long since I have started using them in apple cakes and other baking items and I have been impressed by how big the walnut pieces are. scattered pieces of small size in the bag, but that is to be expected, but there are a lot more large pieces than small ones. Since most of my recipes call for chopping them up anyway, I don't even bother to remove the skin. Prior to ordering these nuts, I was worried about their taste since you never know what you'll get when you buy online, but they taste just as fresh as any I've ever bought from the would have preferred that these walnuts came in a resealable bag as I would not normally consume all of them in one sitting. Since I buy them in larger quantities from the grocery store, I cut them up and freeze them in smaller amounts, which isn't that much of an inconvenience since I also do that when I buy them in the bag from the grocery store. I regret to say that if I don't find a sale on walnuts in my local grocery store, I will continue to purchase the Kirkland brand walnuts.
There is no way I will buy these again, and no one that I recommend purchasing.
Having read some of the negative reviews, I am thankful that I have not had the same effect yet and I have ordered from this company three times. During my visit to a local grocery store, I found that these nuts have a good taste and a reasonable price. These are snack-size pieces of nuts that I love eating or mixing into yogurt. Cooking them smaller is a task you might have to do if you want to do it. If you open the less than attractive bag in which they come, you will also want to place these in a ziplock bag.
When we received them, we opened them to place them in freezer bags and to use a handful of them in salads. The whole experience was awful. The oil was rancid and had mold on it. Our observations were aided by the fact that we tasted them before we noticed it. The infection made us sick by 9 pm, and it took us four days to recover from it. I have had the pleasure of using this product for years, and I have always been pleased with it. There was no other way to say it. I tried to return them, take them back, or get a replacement, however I was constantly rebuffed. It was a no-brainer for me to throw 2 You have 9 pounds of walnuts to dispose of. Will no longer buy them or anything else from Amazon or Costco. The situation is a bit depressing.
It is not pleasant to eat salted nuts, and I should be lowering my sodium intake anyway. I am changing my diet and trying to add nuts and other things to it. They are amazing to eat. There was only one piece out of the whole 3lb bag that I didn't like, which is bound to happen from time to time with nuts. *If you are not going to use them all at once, don't put them in the fridge after opening. If not, they will grow mold and become inedible (the package specifies to keep them in an airtight container in the fridge). Using a chip clip, I kept mine in the original bag, pressed the air out after each use, and kept it in the bag. For the couple weeks that I had them, they were still fresh. I am not sure how long they will last in that case, other than for at least two This will be a product I continue to order. I count on them almost every day of the week. You will gain a lot of benefits from this.
It was a big disappointment to receive this package of walnuts. As we had not yet finished eating another package of walnuts (from another source) when we bought in late October, we did not open the package until late November. We believe the nuts were actually beginning to turn rancid when my wife, who has a more sensitive sense of smell and taste than I do, said we left them out in the open without a cover for too long. We did not open the package until just before we began to eat them, and it was not damaged when it arrived. We had another problem with Kirkland nuts this fall (the other was due to open packages that occurred some time before the nuts arrived at our door). The Kirkland nuts we are buying from Amazon won't be coming from them anymore. Any person who purchases should examine the packaging and product carefully as soon as it arrives.
Those were ordered a month ago, in April of Bags with December 2020 use-by dates are listed on the packaging. I really enjoy the walnuts and they are According to the bag, there are 20% halves, but I think there are more halves than 20 percent. Because I bake with them and I need small pieces, the broken pieces are perfect for me. Even though the bag is a bit more expensive than what you can get at Costco, I limit my shopping because of this Covid virus. The purchase I made has been a satisfactory one for me.
