This is the second time I have ordered these black walnuts. The flavor of black walnuts is unique and strong. There is no synthetic or plastic aspect to it - I understand why you would want "perfumed" if you were expecting them to taste the same as traditionally made (English) walnuts. Black walnuts have a stronger, more bold It was the only thing I ever had I grew up eating homemade black walnut ice cream made by my parents. A great time was had by all. We are dealing with a messy, difficult task. As well, the pieces were much larger than I had anticipated. Those fancy pieces by Hammon are very big for black walnuts. They are really big. There is a rich flavor to them and they are fresh. It has been reported that there is a stale taste to them. Stale cookies are not present here. That could not be farther from the truth.
