In addition, I was To begin with, the source of the contamination was covered up by the expiry date. The source of the information is Bulgarian, and the label is peeled off. China is better than I think, but I have no idea how much better.
It is likely that they will sprout (some of them anyway), but it did not work for me due to only half of them sprouting, and the rest rotting, and there's no real way to get those out. My partner and I searched for hulled seeds for sprouting, and the prices we found were very expensive (twice the price for half as much), but if all the seeds are going to sprout, it might be worth the money.
Having never tried them myself, I believe they have been sterilized and so I don't think that will work. It would be best to buy sunflower seeds that are unshelled!

The USDA certified stamp gave me the impression that it was planted in the USA or another country other than China when I ordered all three items together. Even though I take some responsibility for not reading the whole package because I would not have realized that the pumpkin seeds are from China, I believe that putting the USDA stamp on the container is misleading. I will go back to ordering from Seed Oil Co. since we will not eat any products from China or Guam. I will not eat any products from China, and returning them from Guam is difficult. The product has always been produced in the US.
The following update was posted on I am changing to a 1 star rating. There is a requirement that companies should disclose the nutritional information provided. It has been two years since they promised me that this listing would be updated with the correct information they still haven't done it. That's very irresponsible, and I'm not trusting any company that displays incorrect nutrition information out of purpose. It will take me a few days to hear back from the seller on this once I hear from them, I will update this post. Be aware that the label received is different from what is shown. It's great for people who are carb conscious, as it lists all the carbs. Six grams of carbs and four grams of fiber are found in a 31g serving. The serving size I received list 3g carbs and 1g fiber (so doubling to 30g would result in 6g carbs and 2g fiber a difference of 2g net carbs, which can be significant for those watching their carbohydrate intake). In the meantime, I will wait until I hear back from Terrasoul about the bag. Here is a heads up to those who it might be of use to. It is a shame that they do not fit my nutrition profile for what I am making, since they were very tasty and fresh. I would like to commend the company for their prompt response, though.
These are not only nutritionally superior but have led to me losing 7 pounds since I bought them. It used to be that I would eat a sandwich when I was hungry, but now I just reach for a few fingerfuls of sunflower seeds to satisfy my hunger and stop the hunger pains throughout the day. The only thing I experience is a little belching later on. For me, though, it means I am happy with my stomach. So I didn't have to eat in the middle of the night anymore. Just a small amount of sunflower seeds will do for me.
In the beginning, I was so happy to find both organic and gluten free raw sunflower seeds (it's surprisingly difficult to find since many companies make wheat products, too). I have previously ordered 3 bags, so I thought their quality was pretty consistent until I collected my bag from the mailman. There are moldy and odd odors emanating from it. Having recently purchased Terrasoul Superfoods Sunflower Seeds every year, this is my second order. It's a pleasure to be around I like the taste of them and find them Hemp hearts from Terrasoul Superfoods are also a favorite of mine! Both of those products have been purchased twice now by me. Everything I buy now from Terrasoul Superfoods I trust. Ziplock packaging is convenient, since it can be resealed. I have had no issues with the packaging, and I have found their products to keep the product fresh for a long time. I would highly recommend them.
