NUT-rition Antioxidant Nut Mix (5.5 oz Bag) - Trail Mix with Almonds, Cashews, Pecans, Blueberries, Cranberries & Sea Salt

I don't care what kind of special low pricing one gets on an item; the consumer has the right to know when a product they're ordering is about to expire, especially if it's a food item; it's critical to know it's still fresh and edible. And if a customer still buys it, they are at least aware of the situation. Is it possible that the idea is that most of us will go unnoticed? This has an expiration date of October 3rd. IN A WEEK'S TIME. I understand that information on a product description may be omitted inadvertently, but when it occurs frequently, it is referred to as a deliberate PATTERN. When you order something on Amazon for a low price, this happens all the time. You don't want to believe that information is being withheld on purpose in order for them to sell quickly and get old inventory out of their warehouse. However, it appears that this is the case on a regular basis. I had intended to send this to my son in another country. I don't want the item to spoil when it arrives on the other side of the world. Because of their high fat content, nuts can quickly go rancid. I was fortunate in that I only ordered one bag. I was considering placing multiple orders. I'm so glad I didn't make that mistake.

Who'd have guessed that a mix of cashews, dried cranberries, banana chips, pistachios, salt, and peanut oil could be so tasty? The difficult part is recognizing that you should not consume the entire bag in one sitting. More food makes you want to eat more. This stuff seems addicting. br>br>With 140 calories and 7 grams of sugar per serving, eating the entire bag (only 5. 5 oz. ) contains 700 calories and 35 grams of sugar when consumed all at once. It's a lot healthier than a McDonald's Quarter Pounder and a side of fries, but it's still a lot of calories and sugar. The McDonald's meal is much more filling, so whenever I have a Planter's snack, I force myself to drink a pint of water.

I ordered several of these and the Energy Mix is by far the best; the Vitality Mix has an excessive amount of almonds in comparison to dried fruit. Despite the fact that it is a mix, the antioxidant mix has far too many nuts. It's the perfect energy mix. The cranberries and pistachios work well together. The cashews (unsalted) are a great palate cleanser, and the banana chips are delicious and crunchy. It's delicious and will keep you full for a long time. Although the 5g of added sugar seems excessive, 7g for a serving that includes two dried fruits isn't bad. I'd say I'd buy it again if I hadn't already.

All of the Planters NUTRItion mixes are fantastic, but my favorites are the 'Energy Mix' and the 'Vitality Blend. ' They make great healthy on-the-go snacks because of their resealable packaging. When I order snacks from Amazon, they occasionally arrive stale. These, on the other hand, were fantastic. It's nice and crunchy, and it's fresh and delicious. I was relieved because I would have been disappointed if they had not been. Before I'd even finished the first pack, I placed an order for more. Bonus: The following day, I received my package!.

The 4-month expiration or BB date was a letdown and made it appear unappealing, as shown in the attached photo. Through their own view hole, you can tell when a product is getting old; the nuts were drying out and becoming stale; this is when a company like Planters should donate to a food bank; shame on them and/or Amazon for this. I'm not going to ask for a refund because I'll be donating them to my local food bank.

As is customary for Amazon, they promptly rectified the situation. Fortunately, I was able to find it on Amazon in bulk.
