mold? **As of June 29, 2020, the information on this page has been updated. When I opened one of the cashew bags, I discovered that nearly half of them had black spots or marks on them. Most of the marks were removed after rinsing them in room temperature water. This leads me to believe that the cashews are infected with mold. Is this something that happens frequently? Is it possible that this is mold? If that's the case, how can I make sure no one in my family gets sick from using them in my nut milk maker? I haven't even opened the second bag yet. I also bought and opened a bag of Terrasoul dates, and I have no complaints at this time. They, or at least the five I used and ate, were chewy and tender. I usually get my dates from a national food warehouse, and in probably 15 years, I've only had one bad experience. I'm looking forward to seeing how the remaining dates turn out, as well as the quality of Terrasoul's other offerings. br>br>**Revised on June 29, 2020: br>Terrasoul contacted me to ensure that I was satisfied with my order and to confirm receipt. Following my concerns, as stated above, the Customer Service representative assisted me in resolving them and discussing methods for preserving and storing the cashews. I've raised the rating from two to four stars, and I'll provide another update once I've finished the rest of the product; I'll definitely buy from Terrasoul again.
I bought almost the entire Terrasoul product line, not just the Mylk chashew. Everything is extremely fresh, the taste is fantastic, and you can tell that their products are of excellent quality. I recently decided to switch from cow milk to plant-based milk, and I've been using my Nutramilk machine to make cashew, almond, and Brazilian nut milk, as well as butters and other delectable recipes. I've lost about ten kilograms and gained muscle mass in the last 14 weeks. With nut milk, I make my own meal-skipping shakes. At 41 years old, Terrasoul products, in conjunction with my Nutramilk machine, a Mediterranean diet, and daily 30 minute exercise, allowed me to quickly achieve my fat loss goals. Terrasoul Superfoods' products are of excellent quality, and I'm very happy with them!.
FINALLY . cashews that have been freshly ground We were ordering the regular 4 pound terrosoul organic raw cashews, which had been GROSS and stale on previous attempts. So far, all of the MYLK ones have been new. One of the bags has just been opened. Because they're new, I'm assuming they're fresh. These are a big hit with my toddler.
Cashew milk is easy to make with these cashews. 1 cup cashews, soaked and drained for two hours. The best cashew milk is made with two cups of filtered water and my vita mix. I use a teaspoon of maple syrup and a pinch of vanilla. In the morning, it's the ideal complement to a cup of black tea. They will continue to have my business because these are the best cashews for making milk.
I liked that it was a little less expensive than whole cashews and that I didn't have to soak them for as long because it was in pieces. Overall, I enjoy all of the Terrasoul products I've tried, and my orders have gone smoothly.
These are RAW nuts, which means they won't be as hard or crunchy as "dry roasted" nuts, and it's clear from the description and an answer question that these aren't whole nuts, but pieces, which I don't mind. Because the brand I usually buy was out of stock, I ordered these. I'll be ordering these again because they're great.
I purchased these because they appeared to be less expensive than whole organic cashews for making cashew milk. Because they are cashew pieces, they soaked for a shorter period of time. They make delicious milk, but I wouldn't eat them as a snack. They have a soft texture, a bland flavor, and don't have the same depth of flavor as whole cashews. This is probably what "Mylk Grade" refers to.
I've ordered these a few times now, and each time they've exceeded my expectations. I like that these aren't whole, and I don't think I'll need to soak them before blending them in the Vitamix to make a creamy sauce. It's also delicious on its own. I've also put them in the freezer and they've turned out fine.
