They taste great and are fresh, chewy and soft, just what you would expect them to The cookies have a wonderful almond flavor and just the right amount of sugar. There are 36 pieces, 6 of each shape/color of fruit in each box. Though they come in a variety of shapes and colors, they all share the same taste! If you think they will taste different, you are mistaken, they all taste the same, just look different. So don't complain because you didn't know that they tasted the same. In the beginning, I was going to give the chocolate as a gift, but I ate 4 pieces already so I can't give it any more, so I will have to eat it far, it has been 2 weeks and all have remained the same.

The fact that they strive to make something that is unique is nothing against the company, but personally I find these really undesirable. Marzipan is a very delicate, tender and sweet dessert. It is sad to see people try this box as their FIRST ever experience with it, but then In my experience, "real" marzipan is NOT like this. That is, the marzipan that I have had is imported from Europe (usually Vienna or Germany), or even the marzipan that I buy in the baking aisle of a grocery store. The fact of the matter is, these are insanely delicious. I find this candy to be ridiculously You may know that you enjoy the kind of marzipan covered in dark chocolate that comes from Europe, and you think this will be the same kind of marzipan, but IT IS NOT. From the nutrition label, you can see that there is 8g of sugar in each piece, and these are very small pieces. They are also made with corn syrup. It is hard for me to put into words how wonderful they are. The sugar overwhelms any subtleties in the marzipan, so even if you ate it with your eyes closed, you wouldn't be able to tell it was almonds. The balls of corn syrup and food coloring taste like chewy balls of corn syrup. As much as I'd like to exaggerate, however. The food coloring is there to taste, I see. What's it like to eat cheap icing from the grocery store on a sheet cake? You know that strange taste you have that also leaves an aftertaste? That's the food coloring in these marzipans. My apologies for sounding like a snob, I have nothing against the company or people who like these, but I would have liked to see a review like this one before I bought it, so I am writing one now. It might be preferable to skip these if you are familiar with European marzipan.
