Chemicals are present in everything, so that's one of the things we have in common
3/5

Chemicals are the basis of all organic matter. The good and the bad chemical realms aren't mutually exclusive sometimes too much of a good chemical can be bad (like taking too much water), and sometimes a little bit of a bad one can be great (like caffeine, which is qualify as an organic chemical, it must contain carbon and hydrogen, along with the most usually attached (or not) chemical groups. organic does not mean a food is safe, and being inorganic does not mean a food is unsafe. NaCl (table salt) is inorganic, and if you exclude it from your diet you would die. It is completely organic and can only be created by living things, yet even a small amount is enough to cause death. It does not matter how sodium bicarb (baking soda) is processed to make its pure form, which is non-distinguishable from that produced with a different procedure. The presence of sodium bicarb in the blood of many creatures, including humans, is natural, but its extraction is unreasonable and very expensive. Likewise, it naturally forms in water exposed to CO2, which is the cause of ocean acidification because it becomes carbonic acid when dissolved in water. Many sodium bicarb that we have today came from areas where lakes and ponds that contained dissolved bicarb evaporated and they left behind sodium bicarb Humans are safe to consume all pure sodium bicarb as long as it is used correctly.

We have to deal with what we have
5/5

It was my wife's desire to make some cleaning supplies by using baking soda. The price of this was pretty low, and there was lots of it available. ordered it anyway, since I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. The fact that she was happy means I am happy as well.

Please take caution Almost all baking soda has been contaminated with fragrance
3/5

Those who are allergic to fragrance should be aware People who are sensitive to chemicals. Please note that this product does not qualify for a return. I have notified customer support of this problem. Pure Organic Ingredients is being investigated for allegations of misbranding and violation of the law Today, I received the first order, and it arrived with contaminated baking soda, not only the outside of the pail, but also the inside! I request a refund for this cake mix because all of the baking soda is contaminated with aroma. Our skin is sensitive to fragrance and to chemicals, and I am anaphylactically allergic to fragrance, which means it causes severe allergic reactions and closes my airways. My imagination could not have imagined that the scent on the outside of a plastic pail would get inside and get on In the past, I've complained multiple times to Amazon about products becoming contaminated with fragrance because they are stored in areas where things like perfumes, colognes, laundry products, and other scented items are kept. It is not recommended to store baking soda near fragrance products or chemical storage areas! Baking soda is used for food and does not belong in the vicinity of those products! The presence of such toxic, fragrant products should be separated from food and other items that should be fragrance-free, which is unlike this baking soda, which is so highly contaminated that my husband, who is less sensitive than I am, had a bad reaction when opening it in the This would cause me to go into anaphylaxis and I would need at least one EpiPen, if not more, if he brought it into the house. Consequently, I request a refund of my money, as well as an escalated complaint to Amazon so that they will consider it and work to resolve the issue In addition, I am shipping this same baking soda to my friend, who is also chemically sensitive and fragrance-allergic to the same brands. Could you please stop shipping this to her? As she is also very sensitive and not in danger of being poisoned, I sent it to her in expectation it would be a healthy, clean product for her. However, she is going to react badly to it since it is not safe. The package should not be delivered to her and should be shipped back to Amazon so that her health is not endangered. Baking soda that's contaminated with fragrance and permeated with it is by no means acceptable and cannot be sold on You should really toss this in the trash because it is such a waste of time. The quality of the product is so poor that I can't imagine people could consume it safely, and I am very disappointed with this experience.

Throughout, there are blue pieces of plastic
5/5

I wanted baking soda, as well as cleaning and baking supplies. A few small blue pieces of plastic were found in the top after it was pried off so difficultly. Plastic levels in this are unknown, so this can't be used as a baking ingredient. Cleaning will continue to be done using it. I wasn't impressed by the product and will not buy it.
