Questions & Answers

Is this a citrus-based or a citrus-based product?

Molasses is most likely the source of this product. When strains of the fungus Aspergillus niger were fermented using low-temperature conditions, they were able to produce citric acid. As a raw material, molasses is cheap. According to a Toxicology Reports article published in August 2018 that looked into the history of citrus acid, this method is still used for roughly 90% of the world's citric acid production today due to its cost effectiveness and ease of use.

Is it possible to put this, like Lemi Shine, in the dishwasher?

Yes. To get rid of the white film on my dishes, I put it in the dishwasher.

How big is a one-pound bag? on the average? If there are only four of you, don't buy the 5 pound bag. In a 1 pound bag, you'll find 5 cups. ?

For my bath bombs, I actually measured and weighed this product. Each cup is 8 oz. 2 oz, resulting in a 9-pound bag in my 5 lb bag. A 1 pound bag would have slightly less than 2 cups, but it would be close.

Is it possible to clean my Keurig with this?

When it comes to cleaning my Keurig, I've always relied on plain white distilled vinegar. If you buy a gallon at the grocery store or Target, it's very inexpensive. Simply fill the reservoir with water and let it run until it has emptied as far as it will go. Then simply drain the reservoir, refill it with fresh water, and run it through again - That's what I do twice, and it gets rid of the lime and scale build-up.

This product is ideal for use on hair
5/5

I use this product for a different reason than most of the reviews, so I thought I'd write one in case anyone else was looking for the same thing! br>br>I live in an area where the water is extremely hard, which causes my hair to break out. It becomes dry, dull, and tangy over time. I've dealt with this before using this product:  .

This is fantastic, from cleaning to making fake sourdough bread! For longer than I care to admit, I've been looking for a cleaner to remove the hard water white scale from our shower doors and shower heads
5/5

I tried everything from CLR to the green stuff, Kaboom and vinegar, and even bartenders in the hopes of getting rid of it. Some (such as bartenders) worked a little, but the majority did not. br>br>I came across this citric acid in a review of another product that the reviewer claimed was ineffective. This product should be tried instead of the other, according to the reviewer. It was dubbed a "miracle cleaner" by her. At this point, I was willing to believe in a miracle. It seemed worthwhile to me to give it a shot. If it didn't work, I could always make sourdough bread with it. When used in cooking, it is referred to as "sour salt. " br>br>As recommended, I dilute the powder with 2 TB per 4 cups warm water. I put it in a clean spray bottle and sprayed it. I used a squirt bottle to squirt the shower door. In front of my eyes, the white scale dissolved. MELTED OFF THE DOOR, MELTED OFF THE DOOR, MELTED OFF THE DOOR, I used a 2 liter spray bottle (Hudson brand, available on Amazon) to rinse the door and it looked brand new! There was no scrubbing. How did this product go unnoticed for so long? br>br>When I googled citric acid, I discovered that it has a variety of other uses, ranging from cleaning the coffee pot to cleaning tile and windows. My kitchen's filthy grout. clean! Before dehydrating the apples, they were soaked in a light solution. (It's a lot less expensive than lemon juice. ) This can do everything that vinegar or lemon juice can do, and it can do it better. That's all there is to it. br>br>This is the same as the "sour salt" in the small container. I also purchased this because I will never be able to start a good sourdough starter. I've been trying for years: the "Alaska dehydrated starter" that I ordered all the way from Utah, the "fresh starter" from some folks who claimed it was over 100 years old and had even been used on the Oregon Trail br>br>Now it was time to implement Plan Z (the cheaters' method). You can make sourdough bread by adding 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per dough recipe (approximately 3 cups flour) and an extra tablespoon of yeast. I didn't add any extra yeast the first time I used it because I assumed the salt would prevent yeast from working. (I experienced the same problem when I attempted to make sourdough bread with vinegar. ) )br>br>I added the extra yeast the second time I used it to make rye bread and it came out perfectly. I've also used it to make a sweet and sour sauce with it. My other sour ingredient in the sauce is still vinegar, but this one gives it a lot more punch. This sour salt is used in many of my grandmother's "old country Russia" recipes, such as cabbage and meatballs and many soups. Look online for great "old country" recipes. br>br>It's also a good company. They got in touch with me to see if I liked their product.

If you enjoy sour candy, this is a must-have! You'll never be happier than if you lick your finger and put it in this pouch! OMG. br>br>Wait, what? br>br>Wait, what? Where have you been all my life?.

My dishwasher is no longer clogged
5/5

My 13-year-old dishwasher was no longer cleaning the top rack of dishes, so I told my appliance repairman I was considering replacing it. He advised getting powdered citric acid, filling the detergent dispenser with it, and then running the dishwasher (empty) on the highest setting. So I tried it with the Milliard, and it completely restored the functionality of my dishwasher! We have extremely hard water, and the minerals clog the sprayer arms. It's the equivalent of getting a new dishwasher for a few bucks.

Never again will I purchase a vitamin C and E serum
5/5

I'd like to request that everyone pay attention to what I'm saying; STOP SHOPPING FOR EXPENSIVE c powders and serums!! Why do you continue to do this? For instance - If you look at bulk supplements, you'll notice that their vitamin C is significantly overpriced. THIS is the same thing, with the same grain, and I despise seeing you waste your money on overpriced merchandise. I can't believe I used to waste money on c and e serums when you can make them yourself with this BULK product.

Cleaning is a breeze
5/5

There isn't a single thing about citric acid that I dislike. I use it to make dishwasher powder, window cleaner, counter cleaner, oven cleaner, and to clean my coffee pot, coffee thermos, and sheet pans, among other things. It comes in handy in a variety of situations. I also use it to prepare some food. br>br>The best thing about citric acid is that it is completely safe to use. You can take it and get a little bubbling in your stomach, but that's all there is to it. It''s the safest cleaning solution I can think of because it''s completely natural and non-toxic. chemical. br>br>I'm a huge fan of this.

My coffee maker was thoroughly cleaned
5/5

This was purchased to decalcify my coffee maker, which had been having trouble drawing water through. It was extremely effective! The coffee maker has resumed its normal brewing cycle. I thought it was a good deal because the whole bag cost the same as a few small packets of commercial citric acid cleaners.
