The texture is dry, like a pie crust. I like how crunchy they are A little bit sweet but not too much.
Thank you for writing. I suppose one should check the expiration date on the box and I'm sure Amazon should check before shipping them. Nevertheless, the box I received didn't taste "fresh" at all. In fact, there was a rancid undertone to it. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the food and with the packaging, which did not withstand the several manipulations. So overall, I wasn't interested in purchasing them again.

The following information is updated as of September 2020 Please see pics 4 and 5 for my order of 2 more sets. This time I ordered with a 10" Lodge Cast Iron Skillet as well. Amazon had packaged these items together, and I knew that it wouldn't be a good idea to combine them. These two cannolishells were in the same box with the Cast Iron skillet, which weighed approximately 8 pounds. One of the boxes shows extensive damage from the weight of the skillet, as seen on the photo. It was only one cannoli shell damaged when I opened the package, so I decided to eat Exactly one year from now the license expires! As of now, I have purchased 5 boxes in total. The fact that these are 2-inch squares is awesome, too It is a 3 bit cannoli that is not overwhelming like the larger version! In August 2020, I wrote the following As far as making the cannoli shells are concerned, they are very labor-intensive. When you are a novice, you will learn that successful cannolis shells are specific to their thickness and wrapped on metal shells before they are fried. It doesn't matter how hard you pinch them together if they aren't locked in place. If they aren't, they'll start to open eventually. The use of a sheeter or pasta maker is required to accomplish this. The dough would be run through the sheeter to achieve Initially, I hesitated ordering them because some sources claim to have received their order with nearly half of the items damaged, whilst another source claims that these products are out of date. In order to account for the 30-piece order, I ordered 3 boxes Our shells were damaged by 40% when we received them yesterday, August 24, 2020. As can be seen on my photos, I have 3 boxes with expiration dates all dated The bottom middle of the photo shows that only 1 out of the 30 mini cannolis was damaged. There are just a few (like four or five) The edges of six of the dough rounds had a few little nicks, but I considered them insignificant because once you pipe the ricotta into the cookies, they will be hidden. Obviously, nothing can compare to a freshly made version, but this is an excellent alternative that still serves the same purpose and keeps the same flavor as well as Boxes like this come in sealed packaging, so if they were expired, I wouldn't even try to open and taste if they had the right consistency.
The ricotta I had bought for the pasta I was going to use as filling for the stuffed shells I had planned to make for my husband, but he isn't interested in pasta during this pandemic, so I found these online. The packages did not break as some other reviews alleged, even though the boxes were only packed in plastic trays with no way to prevent them from coming out of their compartments. Some crumbs were present in the box, but none of the shells were Could be that these shells are a little thicker than fresh shells, and so they do not break as easily. I just ordered a box of these as the flavor was good, the expiration date was well into the future, and the price was right. During this time, they made for an unorthodox but delicious lunch.
The items weren't packaged very well in the shipping box, but arrived intact. I made cannoli, and the taste was fine, but I was shocked to find the expiration date on the package when I checked it later (I had a few shells leftovers). There was one that expired five months ago and another that expired four months ago. Despite their apparent lack of freshness, I wonder how good they would have tasted if they had been According to CENTO's website, you can order directly from them for about $9 more than the cost you would pay if you purchased them directly from CENTO, the parent company for this brand. For two boxes, there will be a $50 shipping fee.
Reminded me of cannoli I used to get when I was a child The flavor was very good and the food It had been the perfect size for piping in homemade filling and I had a wonderful dessert.
As far as packaging, it was perfect. My only wish would have been for them to be The only thing that was lost was two per box (ordered two) I read that there are others who were crushed. Your box may be crumbled, but there are others I read who It is therefore important to pay attention to packaging. Additionally, make sure you have a date stamp that indicates that the document is from this year or The shells they received were expired, as I read.
In addition to baking banana bread and cupcakes, I recently decided to expand my business to include cannolis, and when I saw these on the web, I was really excited because they have just the right size to fill with filling, but they are My wife noticed that all but one of the shells came up intact and in good condition, so I was pleasantly surprised. I thought they would be the right size for the banana bread stand. I was anxious after reading reviews about completely broken shell packages, so I was pleasantly surprised. There are a few small signs that they bounced around in their container, but 23 of the 24 survived intact, and the 24th just has a small break at the top. There is enough data to make it usable, but not too much. The overall outcome is very pleasing, and I'm excited to fill them and see how people react to them! As I opened the package, I smelled cinnamon sugar, a flavor not often associated with pastry shells, but one that I really enjoy. This makes me very happy, as well!.
My front porch was used by the workers on time, and they were placed on my front porch. I was able to hear the items in the box rattling around inside when I picked it up. I assumed they would be broken, but I was pleasantly surprised that they weren't. That might be because they are a little thicker than I was expecting. Although I have not yet tried them, they will be put to the ultimate test after they are filled.
It's probably supposed to help prevent breakage during It would be an understatement to say they are mini, about half an inch They are expensive per serving by that measure! Do not waste a tasty ricotta filling on these stale donuts, put it between layers in some cupcakes or between layers of a cake and be more satisfied. It smells and tastes like the oil needs to be changed in a gas-fired food fryer. It wasn't broken though, so what do you expect?.
Their flavor is great, and they are the ideal thickness and thickness. Despite the thickness, they were firm enough that I was able to dip the ends in chocolate without them The shells were all in excellent condition, not a chip or crack in sight! The box I ordered today came with two more boxes! I like them so much that I ordered two more!.
