Yes :

Is this marsala cooking wine sweet or dry?

dry. Also salty, so don't go overboard with the salt in your dish.

Where can I get a bottle of Miele marsala?

Anazon

@Seller, what is the shelf life of an unopened jug and what is the expiration date on an opened jug? Thanks. ?

We'll need the code on the bottle, which starts with a letter and ends with four digits, to figure out when the bottle expires. The product has a 24-month shelf life.

Selected User Reviews For Marsala Cooking Wine(128 FL oz)

Horrendous, to say the least
3/5

What You Pay For Is Exactly What You Get. I use dry Marsala in sauces, soups, and desserts in addition to making Chicken Marsala. It goes well with Sushi in place of Saki, as well as chocolate-based desserts. Because it's for cooking, price usually doesn't matter, but it does this time: Roland's Marsala has a salty, watered-down sherry flavor that's a step up from pond water. What was even scarier was that I had an allergic reaction to it after only one sip, indicating that it is extremely high in sulfites and should not be consumed raw. It was impossible to return. It's a lot of money to throw away $30.

A MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT
3/5

I used to work as a cook in an Italian restaurant, where I learned to make delectable Chicken Marsala (among other things). For years, I've been making it at home, mostly with Holland House Marsala wine, and it always turns out delicious!! br>br>For some reason, I can't seem to find Holland House Marsala wine in any of the local stores! So I went to Amazon and found this product; I go through the little bottles pretty quickly, so the idea of getting a GALLON of it piqued my interest. br>br>I tried making Chicken Marsala for the first time with this wine the other night, and luckily I did a test run on the sauce before committing my mushrooms and chicken. AND THIS WAS HORRIBLY HORRIBLY HORRIBLY HORRIBLY H It tasted like hot sherry wine (almost) mixed with rubbing alcohol no matter how much broth or butter I added! I was utterly let down. br>br>So, instead of making a smooth, sweet sauce with richness and depth, make a rich, savory sauce. It was extremely dry and tasted as if hand sanitizer had been substituted for Marsala wine. br>br>I'm honestly surprised that anyone could give this product a positive review!! I'm extremely dissatisfied with it. br>br>In order to be completely fair, I'm going to try the product again, this time just making the sauce, to see if I can REALLY cut back on the wine this time and see what happens. I'll update my review as soon as I have more information. If anyone has any ideas why this product is so different from what I'm used to, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. I'm open to new ideas! I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I try to be objective. I'll gladly update my review if I can figure out how to get better results with this stuff.

My new favorite brand of cooking wine, despite my mother's warnings that cooking wine is too salty
5/5

However, I began to use the small bottles of cooking Marsala available at the grocery store for cost reasons. I decided to try to buy larger containers of it to cause less waste after a long time of loving it even more than regular wine (I prefer dry to sweet anyway, and this type is definitely dry), and this was actually even better than Holland House or store brands in addition to being a very economical size and (somewhat) price. I believe the shipping is tacked on the price for this one so it can advertise "free shipping," because I've tried to find it at other stores online and couldn't find it. However, the cost of shipping is higher than the cost of the bottle. br>If you're only used to real Marsala wine, I wouldn't recommend buying this as your first cooking wine; I used to mix cooking wine and real wine half and half to make sure I didn't ruin my chicken before switching over completely. After reading about the guy who claimed he DRANK marsala, I felt compelled to write a review. Gross. And he's sipping on this cooking wine? And it gets worse! br>If you don't mind what you use to make Marsala dishes, this is the one to get. Because it's salty, I don't season my dishes with salt when I use it. It always turns out delicious, and I highly recommend it.

It makes a delicious chicken Lombardi
4/5

I had previously reviewed the product and mentioned how salty it tasted, similar to Galveston beach water. Cooking, on the other hand, has proven to be a success. I'm going to buy some more. br>I'm reordering (two years later). I'm running low on supplies and don't want to be caught off guard. This is what I used to make chicken Lombardi for my wife, and she just said it was the best she'd ever had. She is a huge fan of it. I'm guessing it still tastes like beach water, but if Momma's happy, that's all that matters.

Buy it! It'll be well worth your time and effort
5/5

Chicken Marsala is one of my favorite dishes. My issue is that I either forget to purchase it or the store is out of stock. Furthermore, for a jar that only lasts one dinner, prices can range from $5 to $10. I definitely get my money's worth, and it's far superior to what I was previously purchasing. I did divide it up and put everything in Breastmilk bags to freeze. It takes up a teeny-tiny amount of space!.

The purchase was fantastic, and the shipping was extremely quick
5/5

I use Marsala wine frequently in my cooking and have had a difficult time finding it locally. I began my search on the internet, but due to the high shipping costs, I was unable to find any at a reasonable cost that I could afford. br>br>Through this company, this product was so affordably priced! I ordered one, used it in my Marsala recipes, and my family and friends raved about it, so I went back and ordered the last one, fearing the company would no longer offer it at this low price! br>br>Excellent product, lightning-quick delivery, and I'm overjoyed!.

It's thin and has a bad taste to it
3/5

Save your money and buy a real bottle of Marsala wine for cooking instead of this thinning and foul-tasting imitation.

It's not bad at all
3/5

It's ok; it's lacking in flavor and sweetness, but it gets the job done.
