Questions & Answers

Is this made from 100% olives grown in California ? I understand what the post says, but comments about another California olive ranch product have made me suspicious. ?

The Destination Series bottles were harvested between 2017 and 2018. 2018 harvest season olives are 100% California grown olives are not from 100% California grown olives are not from 100% Californ The Destination Series olives are sourced from growers in California, Argentina, Chile, and Portugal, then refined and bottled in California, according to the label on the basic bottle that can now be found in stores. It does not bear the seal of the California Olive Oil Council. It does, however, have a seal that states it is Extra Virgin Olive Oil certified.

I have an older bottle on hand from the 2015 harvest. The label states that it uses 100% California grown olives and it has the California This is the one Cooks Illustrated recommended because it explains olive sourcing and why it's better to buy from companies that bottle close to and soon after harvest.br>br>As you can see from the reviews, many loyal customers are upset about this, believing California Olive Ranch betrayed them. They've been buying for a while and aren't likely to have read the labels carefully. I don't blame them if they feel duped. If this disappoints you as much as it did me, wait until the next harvest before completely dismissing California Olive Ranch. I have no insider knowledge or affiliation, but I believe this is only a temporary change due to a bad harvest; in fact, the company's CEO is quoted in the New York Times as saying the 2018 California olive harvest was a disaster for growers due to the unseasonably cold winter (it was reported elsewhere that it sent CA olive oil manufacturers scrambling to find olives to stay afloat and meet demand), and that they had established partnerships with other countries a few years ago i At least 26% of the oil in each Destination Series bottle comes from California, he added. Late last year, it was also reported that California Olive Ranch was expanding their plantings by 2000 acres, which should help offset less productive years.

Is this extra virgin olive oil from a certified organic source?

I can only tell you that it is NON-organic because I don't know what "organic" means to you. GMO-Free, KETO-Approved, PALEO-Approved, and WHOLE 30 Approved. And, according to the website, it is certified by the State of California that no other substances are used to cut the EVOO, so I consider it to be pure.

I just got it. One of the bottles has been frozen. Is it going to be alright once it thaws out?

The hardened oil's white color does not mean it has gone bad. Olive oil can be chilled or frozen without harm, and when warmed, it returns to its original consistency. The ideal temperature for storing olive oil to prevent clouding while reducing oxidation is around 50°F. br>However, despite the fact that it says CALIFORNIA, we no longer purchase it. This isn't a Californian product. As a result, this is NOT an oil produced in the United States of America. There are better ones available that are made in the United States!

Is this bottle expected to be harvested in the year 2020? 2021? Is there a label on the bottle that says that?

It is best to purchase Olive Oil that will be harvested in 2020 today. Because they are not regulated, they always use a two-year expiration date.

CERTIFICATION FROM THE COOC IS NOT AVAILABLE

It says it has the COOC certification in the description, but it doesn't; I've attached a photo of the product I received.

This is completely out of the ordinary

of oil from the countryside The name "California Olive Oil" should not be used to describe this olive oil. It's a product of a foreign country! They never give their high-ranking officials to the Americans. oils of exceptional quality.

Advertising that is deceptive
3/5

The olives that were sent to me were a mix of South American and California olives, not just California olives as shown in the picture. If it's even EVOO, this is a low-quality EVOO at best. "We have a no-return policy," the company stated. " Unreliable. ".

This isn't the oil you're looking for
3/5

Currently, there is no single-source CA in the pipeline. I bought two of these bottles because we'd read and seen multiple reviews praising COR's "Everyday EVOO," as well as the "Destination Series," which was also good but single-source made in California. That's what I would have bought if I wanted EVOO made in several countries and packaged in the United States a few years ago. This listing is misleading, as is often the case on Amazon: it's old oil that was sourced and shipped from multiple countries before being bottled in their California facility. It's a nightmare. I can sometimes justify using a less expensive or more readily available oil to cook a dish rather than flavoring it. I knew I couldn't even cook with it after the first taste to ensure freshness. It's bitter, foul-tasting, and extremely potent. As a backup, I have a very inexpensive bottle, but this stuff was even worse. I'm extremely disappointed because I KNOW California Olive Ranch is a reputable company that consistently produces excellent products; however, this was not the case; other reviews claim there was a poor harvest due to weather damage. I'm not sure what that means, but I do know that the listing should be much more specific about what the product is, when it was packaged, and where it came from.

California Olive Ranch selects the olives for their EVOO with great care, and the result is simply the best EV Olive Oil at a Good and Fair Price
5/5

This attention to detail is reflected in the flavor. Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen always gives excellent recommendations, and this one is no exception. Everyday Destination EVOO from California Olive Ranch is especially good for drizzling when you want the oil's flavor to complement the dish.

Genuine extra virgin olive oil
5/5

I've been buying this olive oil for years, ever since Dr. Oz revealed on his show that a lot of commercially available olive oil isn't pure olive oil. I had a bottle of "olive oil" in my refrigerator that was still liquid, indicating that it wasn't genuine. br>br>After conducting an internet search for authentic olive oils, I purchased California Olive Ranch Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and I have not been disappointed. It sets up in the fridge and is delicious in all of my dishes! I'm very pleased!.

Bitter
3/5

This isn't like the old California Ranch oil. br> It's bitter and peppery for my taste. Very let down. Although I am a Sicilian, I prefer a green buttery olive flavor in my oil. If you're looking for something a little less bitter, this is the place to go. Take a look around. I'm so disappointed!.

In the United States, this is the best olive oil available
5/5

This is the highest quality and most affordable olive oil available in the United States; all other olive oils are mixed with low quality, but not this one. I tried it and didn't get a stomach ache after taking one table spoon of it. This olive oil is excellent for salads and grilling, and it is a healthier alternative to butter.
