Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the flavor. ?

It has a strong yeasty flavor to it. I love it, but I've been eating it since I was a child, so it's definitely an acquired taste.

Because I have the mthfr mutation, I should avoid folic acid-containing products. Is folic acid or another type of folate present in this product?

What's more important is to figure out what kind of folate Marmite contains. It's critical to stay away from synthetic folic acid if you have a MTHFR mutation. The type of folate you want is methylfolate. I'd dial the number for the business. Marmite is unlikely to contain Folic Acid if yeast byproducts are truly used.

Is it in a jar made of glass?

Yes, that is correct.

What is the composition of this object?

Vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niavin, vitamin B12, folic acid, celery), barley, wheat, oats, rye, salt, vegetable juice concentrate, vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niavin, vitamin B12, folic acid, celery)

For a certain type of person, this is a delectable dish
5/5

This is my first time eating Marmite. Use the information in this review to your advantage. br>br>I'm giving this a five-star rating because it's successfully Marmite, which is the only thing it is. There are no parallels to be made. You order Marmite and either get it or don't get it. I got it. This is Marmite, and it's of the same high quality as the rest of the Marmite. 5 stars. br>br>Now, on to the taste: I read all of the reviews of what Marmite might taste like before I bought it, and they were all wrong. The first taste you get is bitterness, not saltiness. Marmite is a particularly acrimonious condiment. Bitter foods are disliked by most people, but I enjoy them. If you like India Pale Ale or raw rhubarb, Marmite is for you. It's a perfect match. br>br>Some of you may be thinking to yourself right now, "Why on EARTH would I eat raw rhubarb?" " If this sounds like you, do yourself a favor and don't buy Marmite; it's pointless. br>br>However, there are people out there, such as myself, who are drawn to these things. I make a sandwich with Marmite and butter on bread, followed by two slices of muenster cheese, and it's delicious and nutritious. Is this something you'd enjoy? Maybe, but only if you're like me and have a thing for stuff like this.

It was an interesting experiment to acquire a new taste

I had never heard of Marmite before placing this order, but I was intrigued after seeing it used on a Netflix cooking show (Nadiya's Time to Eat), so I ordered a small amount (actually, two bottles arrived). The Marmite arrived on time and in perfect condition (due to the excellent packaging). br>br>Once I had the product and had tried Nadiya's recipe, I didn't know what else to do with it, so I looked on the internet for ideas and found some on the Good Housekeeping website (I believe that was the site); the ideas from that site are listed below. I put suggestions 1 and 2 to the test. I must say, it's quite good. I haven't tried any of the remaining suggestions yet. br>br>If you're curious, or if you're of British ancestry and are used to this product's flavor, I recommend giving it a try; You can live without it if you don't want to. It was a unique flavor, but after the two bottles are gone, I have no intention of purchasing it again; It has no flaws, but in my kitchen, it is unnecessary. br>br>I believe this is from Good Housekeeping:
1. To add a deep, savory umami flavor to meaty stews, Bolognese, or French onion soup, use a teaspoon or two of Marmite. br>2. Spread on roast chicken before cooking for a gorgeous golden, salty skin, or mix into mince for delectable burgersbr>3. Serve it with poached eggs on toast. br>4. Before roasting the potatoes, add to the hot oil. br>5. Marmite goes well with cheese; try it in a cheesy puff pastry palmier or bake some cheese and Marmite sconesbr>6. Roast with nuts for a tasty snackbr>7. It can even be used in a sweet recipe, believe it or not. Chocolate brownies with marmite, perhaps? If this is too much for you, consider the flavor trends of the past year: salted caramel and chocolate.

I really enjoy it

For me, this is the only Marmite brand! It is also beneficial to you. I really enjoy it. For me, this is the only Marmite brand! Marmite is also very good for your health! Marmite is high in B vitamins (not just B3), which are essential for good health, and contains enough per serving to eliminate the need for expensive B supplements. Vitamin B1 (thiamin) accounts for 17 percent of your daily allowance, 18 percent of B2, and 36 percent of B3 in a single serving. br>br>According to a recent study, magnesium – a mineral abundant in Marmite – can aid in better sleep for us all. Scientists believe it relaxes muscles and improves our sleep by calming the nerves in the body. br>br>To get your recommended daily intake of 375mgs, you'd have to consume quite a bit of Marmite – roughly two small jars. If you combine it with two slices of wholemeal toast in the morning (each of which provides about 8% of the RDI), you'll be well on your way to getting a good night's sleep. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br It may help prevent dementiabr>A scientific study published in April of this year suggested that the cult British food could help boost brain power and prevent dementia. The high concentration of Vitamin B12 in the yeast extract, according to York University researchers, raises levels of chemicals in the brain that may protect against neurological disorders. Participants in the study consumed a teaspoon of Marmite per day and were found to have higher levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that is thought to calm the brain and reduce anxiety. br>br>The effects were observed for eight weeks after the study ended, implying that the incomparable brown spread's health benefits may have a long-term effect on the body.

AMAZING! I WAS IMMEDIATELY ADDICTED TO THIS STUFF! It's extremely salty and savory, and it's absolutely delicious
5/5

After eating it, I feel much better, and I'm no longer able to eat toast with sweet jelly. Three of my children were also immediately enthralled by the product. I would advise you to use it sparingly. A small amount of something can go a long way. You're not going to like it if you just dip your finger in it and lick it for the first time. It should be spread out on a piece of paper. It has a strong flavor, but believe me when I say that once you start and don't overdo your first taste, you won't be able to stop. This is fantastic. It's a shame it's not more widely available in the United States. I'd be buying a lot of it.
