Maybe I had high expectations, but I prefer garlic bread with butter and garlic salt. This has a mediocre flavor, and I would have assumed it came from a dollar store. br>And I'm not sure how to explain it, but the spread seems to burn the bread all over instead of just toasting it like butter or margarine does if you like to (or forget) cook the bread a little longer. Because it's been burned, it's almost inedible, not just extra crunchy.
I wanted something similar to Papa John's garlic dipping sauce. This stuff tastes more artificial than that while remaining bland; it has a strange fake oily butter flavor without a lot of garlic. It's not bad, but I'm going to experiment with other brands of similar products in the hopes of finding something better.
