The shelflife should be printed on the bottle. I bought some and it tasted old to me. It didn't have a fresh taste to it at all. I'm not going to buy from these people again.

For three generations, my family has used this product. It's especially popular around Thanksgiving because nothing complements a leftover turkey sandwich like this. To my dismay, my local supermarket has decided (in their ignorance, I can only assume) to stop carrying it, so I've turned to Amazon for help. br>br>Makes a fantastic grilling basting sauce, which I'm going to share with you now. You will thank me, so please accept my greetings. Use a basting brush to apply it to the chicken pieces a couple of times near the end of cooking. The sauce will burn if you apply it too soon. It's a mix of mayonnaise and dijon or Grey Poupon mustard, with the addition of a few chopped sweet or candied pickles (not relish). With a little juice, you're good to go. It's been a long time since I've seen this in a local grocery store, so I'm glad to have it now. (I'm getting ready to make deviled eggs for a party tomorrow!).
My family has used this dressing on clubhouse sandwiches for three or four generations, starting with bacon, lettuce, and tomato on the bottom slice, then slathering it with Durkee's Dressing, followed by sliced turkey and dill pickle slices on the second layer. Place the top piece of bread on top, insert a toothpick in each quarter, and slice into quarters to serve. Because I told him how difficult it was to find where I live, my 87-year-old brother gave me two jars for Christmas.
Both bottles arrived unsealed and broken, so I didn't get to try them. You won't be able to return them to them. Glass bottles were sent in an envelope by the seller. Mayonnaise is included in this product, but no effort was made to keep it from warming and spoiling. We've loved this product for over 40 years and were thrilled to discover it on Amazon, but it didn't work out. I'm hoping for a refund, but I'm not sure how to go about getting one.
I grew up with this sauce and am very familiar with the product and how it should look and taste; however, both bottles had recently arrived and were visibly rancid just by looking at the product through the glass jar. The color of the product had changed, and the ingredients had separated and become lumpy. If eaten, it could have made some people very sick, according to the untrained eye. It appears that the product was not inspected prior to shipment.

So it came as a pleasant surprise to discover that it is still available on Amazon. The item I bought was for a two-person household. a set One of the bottles was included in the basket I made as a hostess gift for friends I visited in Massachusetts over Thanksgiving. They've decided it's great on turkey sandwiches as well! (and are excited to put it to use in other ways)br>br>FYI: The seller from whom I purchased was GroceryNow. Unlike some of the other reviews that complained about smashed/unsealed bottles and/or expired "use by" dates, my order arrived in perfect condition. The (plastic) bottles had an expiration date of 8 months.
I really like this product, but both bottles arrived with the caps loosely fastened, and since the bottles don't have a seal, I decided to discard them. I didn't want to get sick, so I stayed away from it. I was extremely disappointed. I contacted the vendor but did not receive a response.
Durkee's sauce is one of my all-time favorites. It's no longer available in our area. As a result, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase it from Amazon. It came in a flash. Everything was fine until I checked the expiration dates on each jar and discovered that they were only a few months away. I would have only ordered one if I had known about the short expiration date. jar. All food and cosmetic product descriptions on Amazon should include expiration dates, giving customers the information they need to make an informed decision about whether or not to buy.
