Selected User Reviews For Alstertor Beer Mug Mustard 8.45 Oz (Pack of 2)
While listening to Linda Rondstadt, how many people suckers took $100 bills out of duct tape reinforced trash bags? This is the kind of mustard you'll want to cook with. The quality for the price is unbeatable. Don't be fooled by other condiments, because it won't disappoint. You can then toast your success at surviving the Eastern European warehouse ordeal with the beer mug after you've finished with the mustard.
There was not enough bubble-wrap between the two jars/mugs, so the handles were pointing towards each other Unless the shipping was damaged, they might have survived with just the plastic wrapping between them There were fat air pillows "cushioned" in the interior of the box, which were utterly useless for protecting breakables since curved surfaces allow items packed in the box to slide with every impact. Having to put the glass jars/mugs in the trash, not even able to recycle them because they are unsafe to wash. This is a big fail.
There was no security (much less any seal) on the top and it was just taped on either side of the window. There were no small pieces of tape on the window. There was no way for me to tell what was in the jars and I threw them all away. Labels were not seen on either jar, but there was a sticky side to both, which suggests labels once were present. I find it very frightful, in this time when we are trying to be so meticulous in every aspect. Where we go, who we see, what we touch, and, of course, what we eat play a major role in who we become. Only one star was given because of the sweet little mugs this product comes with.
This was available at my local Kroger store a couple years ago, and I bought jars of it for a half After several months, they stopped selling it, so when I was out, I turned to Amazon. It has the same taste as the local ones, but is slightly more expensive. My tradition is to keep the jars and lids after the sauce has been removed In the meantime, I put pudding or other sweet sweet items in them so that I can have sweet snacks anywhere I am. I love mustard reminding me of the recap
. This yellow has a little more tang than most yellows, but it is If you don't care about being a little redneck/ghetto about it, we'll give you a free snack jar or even a small beverage cup (if you care about getting one).
In five years, I've been using this mustard. When I saw that Amazon had it, I was so excited. Chicken salad is a great use for it. The package was okay and the items were in good condition. It would be nice if they sealed them and wrapped them in bubble wrap. One jar was too dried out to be used since the lid had been left off for part of the time. I was happy to have it again, even if it was a bit pricey for one jar.
Getting this from a street vendor is just like what we used to get from our local roadside vendors It's just the shipping that's a pain. It wasn't safe to use these bottles due to fluid leaks, sticky lids, and a broken handle on one bottle. The lids on both bottles were deflated, adding to my concerned about what to use. We chose to ship the package via USPS rather than Prime shipping, which seems like a poor decision. In addition, no description of the box indicated it was fragile or would need special handling.
Considering there is a pop off lid on each side of the container and a piece of tape holding both sides together, even if bubblewrap is used it can't be shipped. The mustard was supposed to be able to be used, but as the seal in the mug was not proper and it was leaking, I got a set of 2 mugs instead.
