Zeisner Curry Ketchup - 2 Bottle Bundle (PACK OF 2)

I first got the single bottle and immediately went to the freezer to get a bag of frozen fries to fry up just for this taste of Germany that brought back memories. It's funny because I'd been looking for this for years and had only found it in a specialty overpriced mall German deli/shop and online for about $20 shipping. So a few of us in a Veterans Facebook group were discussing which German foods we missed the most or could actually prepare. When the subject of curry ketchup came up, I decided to look it up on Amazon. I discovered this company's as well as another that offers both a mild and a hot option. I've always liked the Pommes Frits Curry Ketchup because it had a sweetness to it rather than a spicy flavor, so I ordered it, as did several others in the group, and we were all telling those who didn't get it about our trips down memory lane thanks to this delicious ketchup. I actually skipped out on going to a burger joint because I forgot to bring my Curry ketchup! Seriously, if I think I'll be eating fries, sausage, hot dogs, burgers, or anything else that requires ketchup, I'll bring my Curry Ketchup with me. I'm hoping that this can be added to Amazon Pantry so that I never run out! This is the one if you remember the sweet, tangy curry ketchup from Germany like I did.

On the basis of Amazon reviews, I purchased this brand. I'm not looking for anything else now! I've started coming up with reasons to eat it. I'm using it on foods I've never used ketchup on before. Hot dogs are an example. Scrambled eggs are also a good option. I also used it to brush on my roasting chickens. Other ketchups have ruined my life; it's like "krack ketchup. " You'll be hooked after just one bite. After ordering one bottle the first time, I decided to order two this time. I'm hoping to find a case of it the next time. In any case, I'm pleased with the product I purchased.

Currywurst was my go-to dish when I was stationed in West Germany in the 1980s. to use the guts of a bomb as a local delicacy Fast forward to 2014 and beyond (when both business and personal travel brought me back to Germany), and Currywurst was once again at the top of my culinary wish list. I have fond memories of Zeisner's products from my childhood. br>br>I'm aware that others have had a different Zeisner experience, and like catsup (ketchup? ), I would only recommend that. Brand flavor varies in the United States. The Currywurst is said to have originated in the Koln (Cologne) region, and in my opinion, Zeisner's closely resembles the local flavor. Zeisner's is The Bomb in my opinion! br>br>For those who live near a Kroger, Kroger brand brats go great with Zeisner (and trust me, they're not true brats). However, it's a good sausage to serve with curry catsup). Curry sauce is not served with bratwurst in Germany. It pairs well with a traditional sausage and, of course, all over the fries. Furthermore, the vast majority of brats sold in the United States bear no resemblance to the real thing. What we call bratwurst in the United States is actually closer to the curry sausage! Win- win. br>br>So, get some Zeisner's, some US-style brats, fries, and your neighborhood's best craft beer, and you're good to go! Avoid the big international German beers (we're talking about you, Lowenbrau, Warsteiner, and so on). That's not something real Germans drink, and you shouldn't either. My wife and I tried to eat off base rather than on base while I was stationed in Germany. There were a few things we forgot about until I went shopping at an Army base commissary. Because the base is too far away to visit on a regular basis, when we ran out of curry ketchup, we went to Amazon, where we had previously found foods from all over the world. Although it is more expensive than the commissary, I consider the value and price to be different. br>We love it for french fries and other things, but I used it on my eggs for Christmas breakfast with the extended family, but no one else was brave enough to try it.

Germany is the manufacturer of this item. Very well packaged, and arrived promptly. Because taste is such a personal matter, I will only express my own opinion. This had a very light curry flavor to it, in my opinion. I did detect a distinct applesauce flavor. The final major ingredient on the list is curry powder. It lasted as long as chemicals, according to my wife. For a few years, I lived in the Heidelberg area on a shoestring budget. There was a distinct curry flavor to the curry ketchup served there, as well as a hint of honey. It was fantastic. The curry flavor in this Zeisner brand is minimal. Perhaps, as with BBQ sauce in the United States, different regions prefer different flavors and blends. So, depending on your tastes, I've written this review based on my personal experiences. Apart from the flavor, this product appears to be a good one, bottled in sturdy bottles and shipped safely.
