Questions & Answers

What size boat anchor do I require?

By foot, how large is your boat? I chose the 15 pound option. I also own a 21-foot sailing boat. To get the right angle, you should use three times the length of your boat in rope. So I use a 65-foot rope (if yours is longer, mark it with paint) and a 15-pound anchor. anchor. I hope this information is useful.

For a 10 pound anchor, what size anchor shackle do I need?

I do things a little differently than most people, looping and tying my anchor rope through the bottom holes and then bringing it back up to the top hole. br>This allows you to pull the anchor from the bottom if it's snagged against a branch or rock.br>I hold the rope at the top with a couple of medium wire ties that I know would break if I pulled hard. br>Just keep a couple of wire ties in your tackle box in case you break one.

Makes use of an enigmatic force A mysterious force will cause this coated upside-down mushroom to sink to the lake's bottom
5/5

If you suspend it from your boat and allow it to float away. It will continue to fall in a downward direction. This is a company I'm going to invest in. It is highly recommended.

This is a fantastic inflatable anchor
5/5

This is an excellent little anchor. In Oregon's high lakes, we use it with an inflatable boat. When the wind picks up on the lakes and the boat is tossed around, this anchor stays put. I've never looked back on my decision to bring this anchor with me.

None of my shackles could be made to fit
3/5

It was of acceptable quality. The large diameter of the base appealed to me. The problem was that none of my shackles fit (three different sizes), so I had to return it. You'll be fine if you secure with just a line rather than a chain; otherwise, I'd keep looking.

I would purchase this item again
5/5

I have two of these (one aft, one bow) on my inflatable PVC boat, and they stick me to the bottom in mud bottoms at up to 15 mph winds. Depending on wave height, that's about the point where the waves will pick me up from the bottom, but if the winds are that high, I usually call it a day. I would buy it again if I ever needed to cut an anchor rope.

What is there not to like about this? What's not to like about the fact that it's heavy? It reaches the lake's bottom and secures the buoys

It was exactly what I was looking for
5/5

The anchor is exactly what it says on the package. I appreciate the thick layer of protection on the outside of my canoe.

It's fantastic! It's great that it's rounded so it won't pierce our 12-foot raft
