To make sure I never throw away unused tomato paste that has gone bad before it had a chance to be used, I no longer throw it away. It's just a matter of taking out what you need and storing what you don't.

It is priced well and is of good quality. 365 by Whole Foods Market carries double concentrated tomato paste for a good price. Its taste is very savory and flavorful, as per more expensive brands, so it is similar to those. The paste works in place of fresh tomato paste in any recipe in which canned or jarred paste is called for it is more convenient and also has a longer shelf life than fresh tomato paste you open the taste is slightly tart, but excellent in the final dish Additionally, I adjust the recipes accordingly due to its concentrated and thicker nature. The paste keeps for weeks without losing quality even after being stored in the fridge for several weeks after being recieved.

Tomato Paste that comes in tubes has never been used by me before, so I wasn't familiar with the differences between it and the canned paste This is a nice tasting beverage in my opinion. There is definitely a difference between canned and fresh. The flavor is a little sour, like canned fruit. However, this is nothing like Canned Tomato Paste. It is much thinner - and you will need to spread it out instead of using it in a can. It has more of the consistency of canned tomato sauce. You might want to make tomatoes if you plan to make them When making a Pasta Sauce with Chicken Stock, a lot of it has to be used. The sauce tasted great, but it was different from the original sauce.

Upon first glance at the package, I thought it was going to be little cans of tomato paste. One tube of paste is not worth the price and it is a poor value for.

I like the packaging very much!! The best invention of all time! My one complaint is that I always waste the rest of a can of tomato paste when I only require a bit of it for a recipe
