The price is a little steep, so I won't be purchasing it very I bought it two times and half of the cans were dented when I received them both times. Is there a reason behind I was going to give it a 5 star review were it not for the dented cans.
It's a pleasure to have this asparagus available on Amazon. Lesueur brand asparagus has been on my wish list for several years, and I was thrilled when Amazon began carrying it in addition to other Lesueur There are cheaper brands of asparagus, but the one from White Brook is far superior to any other brand. The stock is tasty from top to bottom as well. The bottom of the stem with most canned asparagus is woody and has to be cut off -- not with the Lesueur brand! There is nothing like Lesueur brand when it comes to tenderness. Consider how much time is wasted with other brands and the price of Lesueur is not that much higher than their competitors.
They arrived within a short time. Furthermore, the box did not appear to be damaged in any way. It is safe to say that the interior wrapper covering the 12 cans was intact. There were dents on all of the cans. Some even reach the point where a perforation is imminent, but are not yet leaking. Definitely something to be concerned about.
I wish these were available They are the most flavorful asparagus I have ever eaten! Rather than opening one can for myself and the other for my husband, I open both for dinner.
Other brands have hard stalks and are not as delicious, but these are soft and tasty! I received dented cans in every order I placed with Amazon. On the side seams of several cans, the sides were deeply dented, which is extremely important. It is the quality of the spears in Le Sueur canned asparagus that makes my family like it the most. Their large size and tender texture make them very appealing to the eye.
