I'm not sure because I don't know how an electric rice cooker works, but it's pretty standard: add rice, water, and flavor packet, then cook. I actually use this in soup because the flavor packet adds a nice flavor and the rice is nice and smooth because it's risotto, so I don't follow the directions to the letter and it still turns out fine.

I bought a six-pack of but Amazon also sells a multi-pack of Creamy Parmesan Risotto three varieties included in the pack.
Despite the fact that I am not a cook, risotto is one of the few dishes that I will make from scratch. Unfortunately, I don't always have the time to do so, so I picked this up from my local Whole Foods to try. After one sip, I was ordering a case from Amazon. It's as close to my favorite Italian restaurant's risotto as one can get. It's simple to make and far superior to any box risotto I've tried (and I've tried a lot). My favorite flavor is Alfredo, but I've tried a few others from Lundberg Family Farms and they're all fantastic. This is a risotto that you must try if you like risotto.
I used to make my own risotto, but this is just as good and much easier. I use this as a base for making "cilantro lime rice" by adding 2 tbsp lime juice to the water and seasoning packet, as well as 2 - 3 tbsp lime juice to the water and seasoning packet. Gourmet Garden Stir-in 3 tblsp After the arborio rice has been sauteed, add it to the Paste Cilantro. I also cook according to package directions, then top with a sauteed veggie medley of summer squash, onion, bell pepper, portabella mushrooms, broccoli, and cubed grilled chicken, followed by freshly grated parmesan cheese. In less than half an hour, you can have a nutritious meal on the table. It's a must-have item for us. to meal!.
It is not only delicious and superior to any other Risotto packet I have tried, but it is also lower in calories than several others. I am a firm believer in this product and will continue to use it in the future.
My son is gluten intolerant, so whenever I make rice or pasta for the rest of the family, I make this for him - it's quick and easy. He also raves about the flavor.
The most delicious risotto I've ever had! My family is important to me. This has become a popular pastime among my friends. It was no longer available at my local supermarket: I'm so glad I came across it on Amazon. Salmon pairs well with this dish. asparagus that has been roasted.
Some of the boxes were opened and product was spilling out when it arrived. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for that.
Risotto that tastes great and is easy to make. I had a hard time finding it at Safeway, so I ordered it from Amazon.
