It's tasty as far as flavor is concerned. That's a good thing that there are real mushrooms in it. Getting warm and comfy while backpacking for days and days is a must when you are trekking through the wilderness. filled it as directed by the package, and I added water to the recommended level. Be careful not to make the same mistake I made. There was too much water recommended in the recipe to thicken it up properly. It turned out soupy instead of thickening up as you might expect The flavor, too, was less strong due to the high water content in the soup. It was pretty disappointing. It would be a good purchase for me again, but I would use less water this time.
