This dish is both nutritious and simple to prepare. I followed the directions on the box, but I used vegetable stock instead of chicken stock because I'm vegan. I use 4 cups water and 2 tablespoons organic extra virgin olive oil. It will be creamier if you stir it more! Warming up leftovers is one of my favorite things to do. So creamy and delicious! This rice is something I'm going to stock up on.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I initially received polenta instead of risotto, which ruined my plans after such a long wait. I did not have to return the polenta because I received the item I ordered a few days later.

Risotto in a creamy Italian sauce

Arborio rice is a type of rice that has a high nutritional value. This rice is cultivated in the river valleys of the Tuscan hills of Italy and turns creamy when consistently stirred while making a risotto recipe. When I was making this rice, I came up with a new recipe, which you can find here: br>br>Creamy Italian Risottobr>br>2 tablespoons olive oil (I use organic)br>2 tablespoons salted butterbr>1/4 cup chopped yellow onionsbr>1 1/2 cups Arborio ricebr>5 cups hot waterbr>4 teaspoons chicken base (you could also use vegetable base)br>1/2 cup grated parmesanbr>Herbamare or other seasoning saltbr> In a 5-quart saucepan, heat the oil and butter. a nonstick sauté pan with a capacity of one quart
2. Cook until translucent, then add the onions. Cook until the rice is also translucent around the edges, then add in the rice.
3. One cup of water should be added at this point. Stir in the water with a wooden spoon until it is mostly absorbed. (If necessary, lower the heat to medium-low - maintain a low simmer)br>4. Combine the remaining water and chicken base in a large mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup at a time to the rice until it is absorbed. After each addiction, keep stirring continuously until the liquid has been absorbed in its entirety.
5. With all of the stirring, you'll notice that the rice gets creamier and creamier. As the rice simmers, you should notice bubbles. Make the necessary adjustments to the temperature.
6. Finally, stir in the parmesan cheese and season the rice to taste with pepper and seasoning salt. br>7. While the soup is still hot and creamy, eat it right away. br>br>This rice is the best risotto rice I've ever used. It's incredibly tasty.
