It is the old Franco American recipe but in smaller cans. I purchased two cases. After being unsuccessful for years there was a breakthrough about 3 months ago when I thought I would give it another try - voila! In addition to this canned spaghetti, my wife makes spaghetti bakes with cooked ground beef and seasonings, along with Although I know all native Italians and those of Italian descent would not give this a chance and would be appalled by the rest of this sentence, this is my favorite Italian dish, and I have eaten in some of the best Italian restaurants in New York. This is nothing like it used to be. It's a totally different taste and is totally unlike a traditional spaghetti dish. Take a can of this on your fishing vacation with you along with a fork, and eat it cold, right out of the can, if you have any left over home cooked spaghetti. When you reheat this with diced red onions, you have a completely different taste. As a kid, I did this with my dad, and then I did it with my children. It will be a memory they will cherish.
I used to eat this canned spaghetti when it was sold under the Franco American brand name. It can be eaten as a side dish or as a full meal.
