Selected User Reviews For Velveeta Original Microwavable Shells & Cheese Cups, 8 Count Box | Single Serving Cups with Delicious Velveeta Cheese Sauce | Convenient & Ready in 3.5 Minutes
These turned out to be a good buy since I was tired of paying $5 for a small order of white cheddar mac and cheese at Panera. There is nothing particularly special about Velveeta It seems like the sort of mac and cheese that would be available in an instant store. It makes about a quarter to a third of a cup of mac and cheese, which is much less than I was expecting. I told my wife after we made it that this was definitely more of a child's portion of that, because the shells don't expand at all. It was watery in the sauce and I told my wife I would replace the water with milk if I had the choice. The creaminess of our mac and cheese is essential to us! Although I probably wouldn't buy these again, I would have one anyway. If I wanted to keep it simple, I would make a box of mac and cheese the night before and reheat it for work the next day. You get much more for your money, tastes better, and is cheaper!.
I'm not sure what to expect. I received this just a short time ago, and it's definitely a repackaged product. However, all of the cups seem to be sealed and the dates are good. I think The seller should disclose that at the time of purchase, in my opinion.
Great! I'm so glad to hear this. I have no idea why people are complaining about the portion size, unless they normally prepare and eat a box of mac all by themselves
It tastes good, if the noodles do not soften it is either your fault or your microwave is malfunctioning. What would you blame anyone else for water that is not heated or noodles whose texture is a little bit hard? My heart skipped a beat when I read that review. It's only that my teenage son inhales them at such a rapid rate that it becomes a problem. In other words, this is not a proportional This is a boy who needs to stop eating at his dad's place more often before I end up squeezing into the local animal shelter every night, desperate for a place to sleep.
I'm not sure how wonderful it is to feed my kids microwave instant dinners every now and then, but lets face it, sometimes you just have to. There are 3 kids between 3 and 15 in our family, so we are constantly going to and fro between activities, school, sports, and more Whenever you name it, someone will be hungry, and this is a wonderful item to have on hand! For every fear of "should I feed my kids this," there is an equal feeling of ease. And we know they will love this! It's quite popular around here as a snack and a quick meal they often ask for it at dinner, which we try not to give them. The Subscribe and Save feature makes the price awesome, and we follow the when it's gone its gone until next month rule, so we know we're not overdoing it on additives and preservatives.
Lastly. I am so glad I found this travel companion. Two are in the camper, two are in our travel bag (with toys and extra clothes that go along to the babysitter or grandparent's house) when we travel and stay in hotels to see family. I am including this as well. This is an EASY meal that you can make in the microwave or shelf with just water and a little water! The convenience and the fact that my kids really LOVE this make it great.
Pellets and shells made from Velveeta Whether as a snack or a side dish, cheese pasta cups are an excellent choice. They take minutes to prepare and make a great quick Whether you live with a small family or a group of teenagers, they're ideal. When my daughter's friends come over for a sleepover, I always stock up on these. The next morning, all the items I've bought are GONE. All you need to do is mix water with the shells and microwave it for three minutes. Add the cheese and let it sit for 5 minutes. Quite easy to do - It is just a matter of having to put up with the "slamming of the microwave" all night Veneeta Shells & Vegetable Oil I have cheese as a staple in my house due to both convenience and the fact that the teens (and adults too) love it.
Everything is fine in terms of flavor. I like the sauce because it is flavorful. The problem is. If you stir it with a TEASPOON after it is cooked, the noodles will not even cover the tip of the "spoon" part when you eat it. *This may be fine for a small child, but for adults, this is silly. That's it. A few bites, then it's done. They will say what they need to It's a serving, so I guess. It makes sense. What's the big deal. The average person can only eat a few bites of food before they get sick. There are many carbs and calories in the small serving of this food. There could be a lot more product, but many people wouldn't buy it due to the high levels of calories, carbs, and salt. A tiny version of this would be better. This is such a tiny thing. A starter. Given that the amount you receive is so great. Nothing else can be done with it.
We not only eat them but we also drink them. This is an autoship item that we like very much. The kids like to add tuna to the raw eggs from time to time but often we eat them just by themselves. The whole serving will be eaten as a snack or lunch by our daughter sometimes if she's not too hungry, but I will also make one for her to split at dinner sometimes when she's having other things and I want something else to put on their plates but not a lot. A single serving can be divided into two halfway decent portions.
The directions on the package merely tell you how long to boil the noodles, and they still remain hard even after boiling twice as long as recommended. This is a hard noodle I would never feed Boiling the water and cooking 3 packages of noodles for 9 minutes was the easiest part. After that, I added three packs of cheese sauce, a little butter, and 2 tablespoons of milk, while adding some tuna to it, and baked it in a baking dish. This amount of food would feed a family of four. I like the cheese a lot!.
