Do not adhere to the instructions. I'm making ours in a thick plastic bowl with 1/2 cup of water. Using a 1,000 watt microwave, cook for 2 minutes on high. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b In all seriousness, a half cup is the magic number. br>br>Anything greater than two: 30 minutes for the time, and the water in the microwave is boiling over, causing a huge mess, and the noodles are overdone and mushy. 2 minutes is the ideal duration!! br>br>Portion size is equivalent to an adult size, which is larger than one of the microwaveable cups, making it a better value than the cups! When compared to a box of Mac n cheese, you save on milk and butter. Aside from that, I believe the price per serving is the same. br>br>Making this according to the instructions was a complete nightmare. I was about to write the seller a letter of complaint. But then I fiddled with the directions and came up with 1/2 cup of water and 2 minutes of cooking time. br>Thank you for your patience.
I didn't get the bowls, but I did get the Easy Mac 18 individual packs. This is the ideal serving size for a side dish. To heat this product in a medium size bowl, I used a home microwave with 1100 watts. Use 2/3 cup water and heat for 3 1/2 minutes, according to the package instructions. With a 1100 watt microwave, two minutes should suffice. Unless you use a large bowl, you'll have to keep an eye on the water in the microwave to prevent it from bowling over. At the 45-minute mark, I need to pause the process and stir. Then I keep heating, but keep an eye on it because I'll have to stop again before it's done. br>br>On my first attempt, I did not monitor and followed the instructions for 3 12 minutes. There was no water left in the container after the water had boiled over, so the cheese mixture could not be dissolved. 2 minutes appears to be the ideal cooking time; the noodles are tender, and there is enough water to dissolve the cheese and thicken the sauce.

I just got these and was surprised to see these little packages instead of the regular cups I'm used to buying at the store when I opened them. After looking at them, I believe it is actually a good idea. They save a lot of space in the cupboard, and we always eat the cooked noodles in our own bowl, so I think it's a good idea.
