Questions & Answers

Can ventresca be stored in the fridge for a long time?

You may have to wait for a while for the jar to expire, but if you haven't opened it you can probably keep it for decades. It doesn't seem to matter how long it's been opened we've kept an open jar in the fridge for well over a couple of weeks so far.

Where can I find information about mercury content in tuna?

A little more than two years ago, I researched this type of tuna before purchasing it. The mercury content of tuna in this product is among the lowest for tuna, and it's fresh caught so it doesn't have chemicals from farming processes.

Can you tell me if the tuna in spring water has any olive oil added to it?

Since it says it is packed in water, I would assume not a single fleck of olive oil is included.

Can you tell me what the nutritional label says? In particular, what is the protein, carb, and fat content?

Three servings come in the 7-ounce jar of olive oil (Ventresca). A serving of this product contains 110 calories, 50 fat calories, 2 grams of carbs, 12 grams of protein, and 190 mg of sodium. Salt is 25. The cholesterol level. If you drain the oil, the calorie content will be less and the fat will be less. In addition, if you purchase one that's made with spring water, it won't have any fat. It seems that there are other flavors that are comparable (the Jalapeno has 80 calories per serving), so you might be able to find out the nutritional information for all of them by doing a search for the product. I hope this helps. I have never tasted tuna better than this!

It's not all that it seems
3/5

There is a huge difference between the Spanish Ventresca and this one. The fat content is much lower. Tuna fried in olive oil did not taste any different from any other tuna. Tuna from the ventresca area if you want it. If it's in Spanish, make sure it's there. Ignore the fact that this is a Costa Rican tuna posing as real ventresca tuna. Place Ortiz as a candidate.

You deserve to be treated

It is an investment you will not regret. In my opinion, there are a number of things you should not compromise on I like this for tuna in jars (this particular brand, but there are many brands in Italy, Spain and France. Taking the White Castle 'hamburger' to a high-end restaurant would be like taking the hamburger at White Castle to a wonderful gourmet burger. It was the first time I could eat canned tuna since I tried it.

There he is

Do you understand? Is it possible that the batch is bad? A lot of good things can be said about this tuna, it's unlike anything you've ever tasted before. The problem is- It feels like it has been overcooked. I ordered a box of 6, and it is usually tasty and pink but is now grey and bland. Does that mean it was overcooked? It tastes to me like overcooked fish. I do not know if the canned tuna is cooked, so that must be the process. Perhaps it wasn't stored correctly, or it may have been a bad batch, but whatever the cause, it's really important to address the problem. Rather than buying it online, pick it up at your local grocer.

My expectations were not met
3/5

bought this product many times in the past, but never on the internet. I have always thought it was very Tuna chunks packed in olive oil are normally the only contents of the jar. As far as I can tell, these 6 jars seem to be of lesser quality because the bottom halves seem to be filled with tinier triangular shards of tuna mixed with oil, not the usual pieces intact. The appearance, because I had expected it to be more like what I would have expected, gives the impression that there is a difference between the product and what It's possible that the box of jars has been mistreated or left too long in a warehouse. As far as I know, I would have returned it if Amazon had allowed me to do so.

Upon arrival, the unit was leaking, moldy, and smelling terrible
3/5

Upon arrival, the box was mouldy, leaking, and emitted a foul odor. Having this problem is the first time ever. Nonetheless, it was repulsive enough to make me disinclined to order from them When I think back on it, it kind of turns my stomach. My local supermarket does not carry Ventresca.

We can do something about it
3/5

The delivery person left the package on a wall 15 feet up a hill, so it was impossible for me to use it. It was impossible for me to climb up there since I was 89 years old. The fruit stayed in 109 degree sun for 10 hours, which according to my research is definitely going to affect the taste of the product. There is no way to return it, you say. As this was a very expensive product, there is no reason as to why it could not have been delivered at the front door instead of a few hundred feet up the driveway, as is the case for all other deliveries. My mailbox is filled with many every week. Deliveries can be viewed in the photo provided by the.

It looks like the original, but it doesn't taste like it
3/5

I could not imagine a more delicious preserved tuna than Tonnino Ventresca. Whole Foods is usually where I get it, but bottles can cost up to $11 sometimes. I tried the bottles from Amazon, since the price was much cheaper than those I get at Whole Foods. While the bottles look the same as the ones I buy at Whole Foods, the jars of tuna that I received did not compare to those I get at Store-bought jars tend to contain very pink meat, having the same size and flavor and being quite salted. There were much more dark meat chunks in the bottles I received through Amazon, and the flavor was muted, not quite as good as it was. I would go to the store to buy some, and next time I will do a side-by-side comparison of a few different ones.

There was a leak in one of the jars
3/5

No good for supposedly vacuum-sealed jars of FOOD, especially fish leaking) comes in a broken jar. As a result of the leak, the package was covered in oil. When I tried to return this item, it said that it could not be returned, so I'm afraid to eat from any of the jars. I don't like it.
