Salmon is a good way to have a healthy protein on hand, but I noticed the price doubled when I was on subscribe and save. You can't just forget about As well as price increases with subscribe and save, I think there should also be a notification when the price increases by a set It seems reasonable to send an email if the percentage of growth is about 45%. SAS raised the price by $4ish per can to $8 per can.
The worst thing that can happen is The products were purchased in large quantities. I've edited it It is terrible. I bought only one pouch of salmon in a pouch and it is awful. As I was going to give it a 1 star review, I am rounding the two reviews into a 2 star rating as I am unable to review it independently. It was like mush inside the salmon pouch. In mid-July, it will have its best by date It will be almost 2 years from now in 2022. In the past six months, I have purchased seafood from Wild Planet on several occasions however, I will not order it again due to the inconsistent quality of the seafood. The canned tuna I received in the mail had to be thrown away. It was so bad, some of the sardines had been spoiled by salt free water and the dogs could not eat them. It is unfortunate because when the product is good, it is fantastic. It appears that I've been receiving more bad products than good lately and I'm no longer willing to take the risk of being disappointed when I open the container. Original Review for Headline of "Good cold dishes or hot salt or no salt to your recipes" Since I wasn't sure if I wanted it with or without salt added, I ordered my first 10 ounces can of Wild Planet, Wild Pink Salmon, No Salt Added, 6 ounces as a test run. The canned salmon variety that is salted is easier to find in stores, so that's what I chose. Salt is the most savory aspect of my diet, but I also try to watch my sodium intake, so I rarely add salt to canned salmon, tuna, or sardines in a dish I'm cooking or salad There is almost always pepper added to canned salmon, but no salt. This salmon was excellent in terms of providing a foundation for a salmon salad to be seasoned with one of my Penzey's blends that includes salt. I will buy this product Food that has been salted prior to canning tends to permeate the entire contents, just as you can tell the difference between pasta cooked in salted water and pasta that has had salt added only to the finished product. As far as my salmon salad was concerned, it really tasted dressed versus salt altering its flavor, as I had expected, and the final product was even better than I expected.
Because I prefer not to have salt in my food, this is perfect for me. As opposed to the 600mg of sodium in the regular versions, this product has only 165 mg of sodium per can. is 158mg of sodium per can. There are 75 mg in each can of RainCoast Wild Pink Salmon). As far as taste goes, it's pretty good. I'm glad Amazon has it for sale.
Cans of salmon are my favorite thing to have around for salads or to eat plain. Because I prefer small cans to the larger ones, I don't have to deal with storing leftovers in the refrigerator. As a result, I don't really want to eat an entire can of canned salmon very often since most are filled with a lot of salt. Nevertheless, this is the first can I've seen that doesn't add salt to the food, so I can easily use the entire can. My only problem is that I can almost never find the "no salt" variety at Whole Foods, so I have to order large quantities of it.
My first case almost didn't convince me, so I bought a second one and sure enough, the second one was terrible. The first was absolutely delicious, with nice, flaky chunks and a great taste. received my second case and I was disappointed that it was mushy, had no large pieces, and made me feel like throwing up, What the heck! I don't like it.
Upon opening the can, the first thing you notice is the fishy smell then you notice the LOTS of liquid inside, which makes up more than a third of the There was then mashed fish, which was unappealing. Despite searching for a piece that was solid, it turned out to be broken into small flakes filled with smell. This brand is not on my short list of good brands. I'm sure there are better quality brands out there, I just need to find them.
As a no salt tuna collector, I was thrilled to try this salmon that fits into my low sodium diet since I had been buying water-locked tuna for a few years already. Fresh salmon tastes better than tuna, and it has a taste similar to not-seasoned salmon. The fact that I cannot find it in the stores in my area will cause me to buy more of it.
