These oysters were purchased because they were not from Asia and did not contain any added oils. They taste great! They're chewier than the oil-soaked smoked oysters I used to buy, which had a squishy, oily flavor that I despised. The oysters' size did not seem to be an issue to me. Some of them are more substantial than others. I don't give a damn about it. It has a fantastic flavor. Smoky, but not overly salty, and not overly oily. They're eaten right out of the can for me.
When I ordered some other SeaBear products directly from SeaBear, I tried a can of SeaBear Smoked Pacific Oysters. I really liked the oysters, and I found them on Amazon for a great price, especially with the subscription. The oysters are caught and smoked in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. I admire SeaBear and the high standards they adhere to when catching their fish. Instead of smoked oysters from Thailand or elsewhere, I prefer to support American fishermen. There is no oil added to these oysters, and they are smoked to perfection. I eat them straight from the can because the cans are so simple to open (no can opener required). Oysters are high in the mineral zinc and make a great snack; I'm not a big fan of shellfish, but these are worth getting. I'm happy with the Amazon price because they're $9 elsewhere, and as much as I like these, I can't afford that. The cans are jam-packed with smoked oysters and large enough to serve as a snack or ingredient in a recipe for a couple of people; I'm planning to use one in a pasta dish.
I love these, I bought some when I was in Seattle and never opened them, then I did and went back for this order because it was cheaper than buying direct, and I don't mind some of the small pieces, they're just fun little junks that ensure the can is filled. I put them on crackers and they were delicious. pasta. I enjoyed everything, but the right out of the can version was perfect for me because I am not a fan of smoked foods. This, however, took me in a completely different direction. The price is great, and I'm going to try another brand from the same area, so we'll see what happens. I just can't get enough of it. And at least 80% of my cans were complete 1. The other person may have received a bad batch of 5" oytsers.
These oysters are fantastic; they have a great flavor and are of excellent quality. It has been said that the can is full of oyster pieces, and this is correct. If you're looking for only whole oysters in a can, you'll be disappointed. I usually don't mention price in my reviews because I prefer to keep the focus on the product, but at around $10 a can, these are a luxury item that I can't afford to buy as frequently as I'd like, especially since fresh oysters are cheaper even in landlocked Montana. All in all, a fantastic product.
These SeaBear smoked oysters were purchased for a friend who treats himself to this type of oyster on occasion. He had never tried SeaBear smoked oysters before and declared them to be the best he'd ever had. He has a distinct taste in foods, so I'm sure all of SeaBear's other seafood is equally valuable. I plan to buy something else in the future, but I haven't decided what it will be yet.
Flavor and taste are inferior to those of cheaper brands.
Exceptionally flavorful and densely packed - not a puddle of oil My only gripe is that they're a little too pricey!.
I'm a huge fan of smoked oysters, and these are some of the best I've ever had! br>br>Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum Without a doubt, I would recommend it!.
