This "WHOLE" boiled oysters is one of my favorite dishes. This oyster isn't crushed like most canned boiled oysters. It demonstrates the meaning of the word "whole. " It's for this reason that the texture is so good. The oysters made my creamy pasta perfect without adding any other ingredients like other seafood or meat, as you can see in the photo. (For example, "Don't throw away the water from the can because it may be useful to your cook. ").
For a quick meal, I rinsed mine and sauteed them for a few seconds in hot butter before tossing them with instant butter noodles and a dash of hot sauce. br>I had one or two oysters that tasted incredibly fishy and ironically off. (yuck). br>I had a couple of oysters that were slimy, smeary, and disgusting (yes, even for oysters). br>The rest of my can, which I estimate to be about 6 or 7 oysters, was quite presentable, firm, and delicious. br>br>Those with a slimy pudding consistency can be picked out and given to the cat. br>As for the off-tasting ones, I'm not sure how to get rid of them without tasting them first. br>Overall, despite how my comment appears, I was pleased with my can and am glad I have 11 more. br>The date is set for 2024, so I'll be ready when the urge strikes.
br>The can for this brand is almost empty! br>I strongly advise it.
Oh my goodness, what a blunder! To begin with, they have a distinct fishy odor and taste, and they are not fresh! Second, many contain shell particles or what appears to be large, uniformly sized sand(? ) grains. Gross! Also, as mentioned in another review, each can contains one or two items that are completely inedible, both in terms of taste and color! This is not acceptable! br> Just because they're free of BPA and have a good marketing campaign doesn't mean they're good to eat! I'm not able to return! It was a waste of money! I won't be purchasing anything else!.
These oysters have the same texture and taste as the "Prince" but are half the price. I switched brands and the only difference is the price difference.
With these canned oysters, I made oyster stew, which was delicious. I'll buy it again in the future without a doubt.
That means something to me, but I'm not sure what it means. I make a simple dish with them, milk, butter, salt, and pepper, and then "warm" it up. They're a little on the pricey side, but the quality and flavor are excellent. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
It has the flavor of boiled oysters down pat. br>Sometimes I use it in my shrimp ramen noodles, and other times I use it to season garnishes. br>It was the best deal I could find, but it appears to be a specialty item.
