Questions & Answers

Why are there two nutritional labels on the product listing?

I took a look at the current listing and I'm sorry, but I'm not sure why there are two nutrition facts labels.

Is this a Chinese-made item?

I bought a case of the spicy ones, which are made in China. br>Distributed in Southern California br>However, I have no idea where the actual fish comes from because it isn't mentioned on the label.

What company makes these?

China, they are the best i have ever had, ocean prince and crown prince i believe are the same thing,no difference in taste whatsoever, both have the chilli in them,if you really want to spoil yourself, google "bradeys oysterhouse",they offer smoked oysters as well, these are from the Chesepeak Bay,done in a tiny family owned buis, you will be amazed at how good a yster can tast,

Two nutritional labels are shown in the listing. One has a cholesterol content of 5%, while the other has a cholesterol content of 2%. Which of the two labels is correct?

The Correct Answer is Cholesterol at 7% Cholesterol. I Bought 2010 Cases Of These Oysters At 4 Different Times With 4 Different Expiration Dates, And They All Say 7% Cholesterol. And they're a cinch to make!

This is unquestionably a great purchase! 🌶
5/5

"UPDATE" as of January 16, 2021. The cans were well-packaged and undamaged when they arrived. The oysters were whole and perfectly packed, with a red chili pepper smack dab in the middle. The flavor was excellent, with a smokey, spicy note and just enough oil. It's unquestionably a wise investment! br>br>UPDATE 01/16/2021, UPC 0 73230 00156 7 After eating a can, I developed symptoms of Norovirus, a gastroenteritis virus that causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps, as well as low-grade fever. This is the second time I've had a fever in a few weeks, and the symptoms are similar to the first. So keep an eye out for this UPC number: 0 730230 00156 7.

Be wary of Chinese seafood! I intended to get the Crown Prince as usual, but didn't realize until it was too late that I had accidentally purchased these instead
3/5

Unlike the Crown Prince, who comes from a South Korean farming family, this is a Chinese "managed fisheries" operation. Also, instead of olive oil, these come in cotton seed oil, and WOW, you can tell the difference in quality right away, and it's not good. We're all aware of the problems with Chinese goods. And if you like seafood, you should avoid it because their waters are filthy and the conditions in which they raise fish are appalling. Despite being drenched in oil, the oysters themselves were overcooked and dry? how? I'm not sure, and it doesn't really matter to me. I'm not going to buy it again. I'll be on the lookout for Chinese products in the future. It's annoying when you eat something healthy and then have to wonder what you're doing to your body by eating it because of where it came from.

Do not make a purchase
3/5

The oysters are of poor quality. It appears that the scraps that didn't make the cut for other oyster brands were packaged. I bought 18 cans of this product thinking there couldn't possibly be a significant difference between it and, say, Crown Prince, but I was completely wrong. Spend the extra money on Crown Prince as a favor to yourself. I should also mention that these are so bad that I refuse to eat them. They're not whole oysters, but rather pieces of them.

Yessss
4/5

Update: I'm almost done with my second case of these and have reduced my rating from five to four stars. In this case, every can tastes like fried oysters. They don't have a smoked flavor, and they have red pepper in the can but you can't taste it, and there's no spice at all. To make up for it, I've been slathering them in hot sauce. Still, the size and overall quality are excellent, especially considering the price. br>br>I have an unhealthy obsession with smoked oysters. They are something I could eat all day every day if I wanted to. I was a little hesitant to try these because of the negative reviews, but for the price, I figured it was worth a shot since I'd be paying $3 per can in the store if they were on sale. I wasn't let down at all! The flavor and quality of the product are outstanding. I did find one small piece of shell in one of the cans, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me; in fact, it was a good thing because it forced me to take my time eating these.

Ocean Prince smoked oysters are of comparable quality to other brands, but at a significantly lower price
5/5

So, what's not to like? The only thing I can think of is that these oysters would be better preserved in olive oil instead of cottonseed oil. After opening a few cans, I can attest to the consistency of the quality and oyster size (large).

I just opened a can of a lot of 18 and it was fine to my taste
4/5

It's a typical Smoked Oyster, according to the taste. So far, there have been no issues. br>On the record of Norovirus Symptomology after Consumption, there is only one posting. I have serious doubts about it, and a UPC code means nothing! It's just a classification of the product, nothing more. If there was a flaw, the lot number and expiration date would be more reliable. In the packaging, there is a Bar Code that indicates this. br>If you don't read it and retain it, everything will be hazy. Only when you have specific information about your order can you get an answer from Amazon. br>I seriously doubt Amazon would allow such a situation to arise. There are no shell fragments present, and it tastes like a higher-priced product. Whole oysters, not mush, and the texture is correct. My feedback is completely unbiased.

YUM! Great taste! The chjli peppers are the key to this dish's success
5/5

The oysters would be bland without the peppers. These, on the other hand, have a refreshing flavor.
