Two of the jars I ordered I just received are completely warm to the touch the ice pack is completely melted and very warm to the touch, is this safe to eat because now I am incredibly concerned that I can't trust it.

It will cost you $4. You can buy it at Fairway Grocery for 49 cents. There was very little herring left in the jar when I ordered product code 71888 29001*. The majority of the preparation is sour cream, onion, and The idea of pickled herring in sour cream does not appeal to me. You should not buy it.
