Do not adhere to the instructions. I'm making ours in a thick plastic bowl with 1/2 cup of water. Using a 1,000 watt microwave, cook for 2 minutes on high. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b In all seriousness, a half cup is the magic number. br>br>Anything greater than two: 30 minutes for the time, and the water in the microwave is boiling over, causing a huge mess, and the noodles are overdone and mushy. 2 minutes is the ideal duration!! br>br>Portion size is equivalent to an adult size, which is larger than one of the microwaveable cups, making it a better value than the cups! When compared to a box of Mac n cheese, you save on milk and butter. Aside from that, I believe the price per serving is the same. br>br>Making this according to the instructions was a complete nightmare. I was about to write the seller a letter of complaint. But then I fiddled with the directions and came up with 1/2 cup of water and 2 minutes of cooking time. br>Thank you for your patience.
I didn't get the bowls, but I did get the Easy Mac 18 individual packs. This is the ideal serving size for a side dish. To heat this product in a medium size bowl, I used a home microwave with 1100 watts. Use 2/3 cup water and heat for 3 1/2 minutes, according to the package instructions. With a 1100 watt microwave, two minutes should suffice. Unless you use a large bowl, you'll have to keep an eye on the water in the microwave to prevent it from bowling over. At the 45-minute mark, I need to pause the process and stir. Then I keep heating, but keep an eye on it because I'll have to stop again before it's done. br>br>On my first attempt, I did not monitor and followed the instructions for 3 12 minutes. There was no water left in the container after the water had boiled over, so the cheese mixture could not be dissolved. 2 minutes appears to be the ideal cooking time; the noodles are tender, and there is enough water to dissolve the cheese and thicken the sauce.
These are my favorite kinds of items. When you're tired but hungry for something, such as right now. There is a simple Mac. You'll pay a lot less for these than you would for cups, and you'll produce a lot less garbage. To me, they all taste the same. It's as simple as that. If I have it, I'll use 1/3 cup water and 1/3 cup milk, or 1/3 cup water and half a cup half-filled with water, then half-filled with half-and-half. That way, it's a bit more interesting. In my crappy 900 watt microwave, I nuke for 4 minutes, then season with a pinch of seasoned salt and black pepper before digging in. After it has cooled for a few moments, at least. If you want it extra cheesey, add some shredded cheese right after it comes out of the microwave, or tear up a kraft single into smaller pieces and mix it in as it melts. I usually just season it with salt and pepper because I'm lazy. br>br>I make it for snacks or a light meal on occasion, or as a side dish to a one-person meal on other occasions. If you have cooked chicken or bacon bits (real bacon! ), you can get a little more creative. ) and toss it into the mix. It's delicious to eat chicken with sundried tomatoes. My mother, strangely enough, used to make mac and cheese with canned tuna and sweet green peas at the end of the cooking process when I was a kid. You might want to include some of those. It may sound strange, but if you like tuna, it's really good, cheap, and easy, and it can turn it into a meal.
IS . this kind of thing As stated in a previous post. Kraft should be ashamed of themselves for putting this together and selling it as "food. " br>br>The "taste," if that's the right word, is unfathomable. The word "horrible" comes to mind right away. My apologies, but it was only after we had tasted "it" that I realized what I had done. I didn't look inside the packets to see what was inside. That clarified a few things for me. br>br>NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER If you don't like yourself or want to exact revenge on someone, this is the place to be. This is what you should feed them. br>br>Kraft is aware that many parents serve this as a "meal" to their children. They demonstrate that "big business" and "big money" are the only things that matter. br>br>Don't even consider the nutrition or long-term effects of this "stuff" on developing bodies. Simply throw garbage at them and profit handsomely. KRAFT, br>br>KRAFT, br>br>KRAFT, br>br> "You SHOULD be embarrassed of yourselves. ".
I just got these and was surprised to see these little packages instead of the regular cups I'm used to buying at the store when I opened them. After looking at them, I believe it is actually a good idea. They save a lot of space in the cupboard, and we always eat the cooked noodles in our own bowl, so I think it's a good idea.
My daughter, who is now eighteen, year- My eight-year-old son has been a fan of these since he was a toddler, and now he can make them himself. With the exception of filet Mignon (which, as you may have guessed, is a filet de foie gras He's been eating only Mac 'n cheese for the past 17 years (I. , as well as carbohydrates and cheese). He is the family's tallest member, incredibly strong despite not participating in sports or exercising, and in excellent health. Since I ended up eating his leftovers or having to eat Mac 'n cheese with him for that entire period of time, which other parents will understand, I will never eat Mac 'n cheese (even the most delicious homemade) again. I gave it five stars because to each his own, and my son has always loved it.
I purchase these because they are convenient. I like that I can make just one serving (rather than the entire box). To make the finished product even creamier, I usually add some sour cream or cottage cheese. br>br>One thing to keep in mind: Cook the macaroni for a short time in the microwave. Because the macaroni absorbs all of the liquid (which is required to make the sauce), your mac and cheese will become less creamy. The sauce will be clumpy, but it will still be tasty.
I really like the packaging on these because they're great for traveling. They are not sold in cups like those found in supermarkets. They come in individual packets, and you must measure out the water and microwave them in a microwave-safe bowl. br>Yes, they are unhealthy. However, if you're traveling with a picky child, these are lifesavers.
