Selected User Reviews For Native Forest Organic Pineapple Chunks, 14 Ounce Cans (Pack of 6)
Organic pineapples are a great choice for those who value quality. There is one major complaint I would like to make ALL commercial (and As someone who is passionate about as much organic as possible, I was pointed in the direction of this brand.
I believe some of the people complaining about this product are not used to As long as they have a "big name" label attached to them, they are used to whatever comes their way. There may be a slight difference in how the fruit is cut compared to the other "big name" company, but the Native Forest Pineapple is just as delicious and nutritious. This grape juice is tasty, sweet and tart, and it has NO filtration (which may explain why people complain that it is gritty). Juice and fruit are both pleasant to drink and I find that the juice is not gritty in any way. It is also the first time I have ever seen a dented can. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone, I am sure they will be pleased with it. This is a beverage that I enjoy several times a.
In response to another major review from 2013, the pieces still have too much of the core. Almost every single piece of the game has a core that makes it hard to enjoy it in any meaningful way. It impacts your teeth even further if you have problems with them. If you chew soft food and then bite into something hard, you are put out of balance. There is the possibility in the case of poor teeth for a tooth to break depending on the hardness of the product and how much leverage and force is applied to This is important. This is not the first time I've experienced something like this. This product probably won't have any issues with it (unless there is an issue with the inner core), but anything can happen. No matter how you slice it, it's still very much detracting from enjoyment. The price is about $3 as well. For the same cost of 35 dollars a can, you would save much more money just buying and preparing pineapples It is not intended to eliminate the preparation part or parts of the skin but still might be worth it in light of the company's refusal to go back to old method of manufacturing that removed most of the core from chunks (where larger pieces of skin were also discarded). And you'd save yourself from the toxic plastic linings in cans, which are bad if the product they contain is acidic, like this one.
My disappointment was sharp when I opened this package and saw all the metal inside. Pineapple is a highly acidic fruit for goodness sake. Do any of the folks at Native Foods really believe that putting pineapple in a can of any kind is a very bad idea? The can does smell metallic, but if you have good taste buds, you can ignore it. And what happens if the can is dented, which happens more often than you think with non-grocery items. Does that make you think there'd be even more leaching if that were the case? How do you feel about it? I often make muffins and salad dressings with pineapple, so I am initially frustrated since there are no other options for canned organic pineapple. However, I have just realized I can buy organic pineapple juice in the glass jars and that will work just fine.
The following update was issued on March 2013 To end this review, I am revising it to give the lowest possible rating. It has been almost one year that I've been regularly buying the Amz 6 packs of Native Forest organic pineapple and organic papaya. I have a low rating as a result of two factors The following are (1) statistics for the past two years It has been 4 months since the quality of the fruit has greatly (2) the company never followed through on labeling their cans to certify that they were no longer BPA-contaminated After I posted my first review and began eating pineapple and papaya regularly, they told me that they were free cans. In the absence of refrigeration, the pineapple's quality has declined as follows after being opened and eaten for more than 2 years The past three months have been pineapple chunks in each container now contain large quantities of the pineapple center core, which is hard and fibrous, and did not exist previously in the pineapple containers Pieces of pineapple outer skin and those little barbs were seen in numerous cans On the outer side of the skin, these fibers are similar to A significant amount of deterioration has also occurred with the papaya I have opened every can of papaya in these past 3 months and have found large pieces with the yellow rind- This is also an indication of a low-quality papaya because instead of consisting of only the orange ripe papaya pulp, they are now mainly composed of sections of the yellow rind and small amounts of the orange ripe pulp. papaya cans contained pieces that were mushy after having been left out for a while The book is ripe. I have posted my original review from the spring of It's great to get fresh foods or foods in glass jars, but I also prefer buying them in bulk. In the event that neither of those options is available, I resort to canned foods. IN THE EVENT THEY ARE PBA It's free to take part in the contest. Despite being a canned food, I give it 5 stars, even though it's a canned product, for the following reasons In the DC metro area, it is rare to find organic fresh pineapple (2) I only eat organic foods for Native Forest cans there is now a PBA barcode Then free [with the following exception This is what the manufacturer says- There are a few veggie items that haven't (3) An extensive online search revealed that organic pineapple in glass jars cannot be purchased anywhere. As a result, the only option I have if I want organic pineapple is to buy it in a can. In the past few days, I've gone through over 15 cans of One of the other reviewers complained that there was a slight "can taste" when eating the pineapple in one of the cans. Similarly, I don't like the distinct flavor of canned food. However, the pineapple has tasted very good, except for that one can- The pineapple core and outer skin should not be present, likewise ripe pieces or detritus. Therefore, I am pleased with the product, and it makes up for my craving for pineapple when I can't get fresh organic pineapple. The following cans have been dented There have been problems with 2 shipments over the past 6 months, where the manufacturer failed to put adequate cushioning inside the box in order Due to this, if a box gets tossed around during shipment, some of the cans may be damaged. They arrive damaged and are too hard to open or cause concern as to whether the seal has been broken As soon as we take the lid off, I call Amazon customer service and inquire about a refund or replacement. The customer service of Amazon has been excellent in either providing a refund for a damaged can or shipping out a replacement can that arrives within two days There are 3 days left.
The mess is out of control! Dented, rusted and leaky cans were seen throughout the store. Therefore, it was packaged in an extra-thick bag before it was packaged in a It was shocking for me. There's never been anything like it in my life. Is anyone able to see how that could possibly be This is awful.
You are wasting your time, money, and frustration by purchasing these products, because the cans do not do well in transportation and will all arrive damaged when they arrive. l've ordered at least 6 times, and the price is always $60-$70 The safety of 75% of the jars is at risk.
