Fruit is one of my favorite foods. Pineapple is one of my all-time favorite foods; I put it on pizza, in sweet and sour sauce, in pineapple cakes, pineapple jello salad, green jello salad, with cherry and strawberry jello, and as a garnish for my apricot, strawberry, and cranberry jam. The quality of the pork and beef kabobs, as well as many of the sauces, is outstanding. I made a sauce with it and my cranberries. I like it on top of cakes, in batter, and on upside down cakes. I enjoy it in fruit salads, as a salad bar item, and simply as a snack. Pineapple is one of my favorite snacks to dry. br>br>While fresh pineapple is delicious, this brand of pineapple chunks is also fantastic. It's delicious, filling, and adds a lot of flavor to anything, including my jello salad (lime jello, sugar-free cool whip, low-fat sour cream and cottage cheese, and walnuts mixed with pineapple). Because I am a fantastic cook and baker, I can use pineapple in a variety of ways. br>br>This particular brand is packaged in a handy plastic jar. It appeals to me. I pour out the contents of the jar and keep it for future crafting projects. I sell these in my online store for anything that can be done with a canning jar. The color of the lid is one of my favorites, but it can be altered with paint, fabric, and embellishment. All you need is a little imagination. I frequently give my crafts as gifts, and the possibilities for what can be put in the clear plastic jar are endless. My grandchildren are always amazed at what I can do with a canning jar to create a scene. br>br>Anyway, because this pineapple isn't in any kind of syrup, it has no effect on my Type 2 Diabetes. I don't have to be concerned about eating this. It's much better than attempting to can it on my own. It's affordable, efficient, has great flavor and texture, and it's a joy to have around. br>br>My only change would be to make it available through Subscribe and Save, as this allows me to budget more easily and ensures that I never forget to order what I require. I have to budget down to the penny because my income is extremely low, 175% below the Federal Poverty Guidelines, but even so, all I have to do is write a list Another modification would be to include crushed and tidbits. It would be extremely beneficial. Crushed and tidbits are required for a pineapple poke cake, a dumb cake, or an upside-down cake. I'm still addicted to this style, ordering at least ten jars every month because I use it frequently in cooking and baking. I can freeze what I cook, which saves me money over time.
Bisphenol A (BPA) in canned foods is a source of concern for me. Is plastic, on the other hand, a superior material? br>br>Pineapple juice and canned pineapple don't have the same flavor as they used to. I drank the juice from this Dole product, and it didn't taste like pineapple juice at all (and my taste buds were fine). Is this because Dole no longer grows pineapple in Hawaii? What's the current status of this pineapple? What is it about the Philippines? Costa Rica, to be specific.
I didn't expect it to be twice the price of the can that is 50% bigger at the grocery store at the grocery store at the grocery store at the grocery store I cancelled the orders for this jar of pineapple after measuring the size of an empty can from my grocery store. Despite the fact that I had received a cancellation confirmation, the overpriced pineapple was still included in my order. I'm not going to buy it again. br>br> Make sure you don't make the same mistake I did and pay twice as much for half as much.
Without the hassle of peeling and chopping, this pineapple tastes almost as good as fresh. When buying a fresh pineapple, plant the top and a baby pineapple will grow in a few years. tAs long as it lives, the plant will continue to give.
One of my favorite breakfasts is pineapple chunks with cottage cheese and oatmeal. These pineapple chunks are just the right size for a snack and are bursting with flavor. I like that there is no added sugar or syrup.
Wow, I have always preferred Dole pineapple products to other pineapple products, but I was very, very disappointed with the poor quality of the two that I recently purchased. I usually buy the smaller cans with the pop top, but I wanted to give these a try because one reviewer said they tasted exactly like fresh pineapple. Both of the ones I got were extremely sour, with no color and no flavor. Normally, pineapple from Thailand is of higher quality than pineapple from other countries, so I was surprised to find this product to be so low-quality. I threw both of them down the garbage disposal because they weren't edible. I expressed my dissatisfaction to Dole as well. I will continue to purchase Dole Pineapple, but only in small cans.
br>I ordered groceries from Fresh Whole Foods and had them delivered to my house. br>I'll leave a note for the shopper to inspect the packaging next time. Doles Chunk Pineapples br>br>I took a photo of them. br>br>For the first time in four years, the seals on multiple plastic jars have opened unsealed. br>br>When I freeze, I take the plastic seal off. I'm surprised. br>br>I love pineapple and Dole, but they completely missed the mark when it came to properly sealing a perishable item. br>br>To be fair, I would give 5 stars across the board if properly sealed. br>br>I mean, I love pineapple, and Dole pineapple has time to sit and break down the sugars, making it a healthy midnight snack. br>br>When ordering grocery delivery, have your shopper inspect the packaging and, if ordering boxed items, unscrew the lid. br>br>Dole is aware of the problem and will issue a recall for the batch code shown on the jar in the image.
It's convenient to have a container with pineapple that has already been pre-cut. It has been re-cut and re-edited. Unlike a can, it can be closed. You can eat a couple, then put the rest in the fridge to eat later. They have the same flavor and are of excellent overall quality and taste; I would highly recommend them.
