Lima Beans are the best I've ever tasted. I love limas, but these seasoned ones are the best, with a slight saltiness to them. I take the liquid from the can and pour it into a small pot with white rice, making sure that the liquid to rice ratio is correct.
Because I hadn't finished my Lima beans, I was always seated at the table two hours after the table was cleared. So, put these on, and only these (or? Glory). These are extremely well-seasoned; They're absolutely delectable!.
My mother was from the south, and while I enjoy most southern dishes, I found these to be particularly unpleasant. The first can was tossed, and the others were donated.
For me, there is just enough added flavor, and it tastes great. The texture of the bean is a little "mushy," but it is still whole and not squashed. Any salad or snack would benefit from this addition.
I'm going to buy more. Wow, this is the first time I've tried these. They're seasoned and taste exactly like the ones my grandmother used to make when I was a child. These are something I really enjoy. Yum!.
These are great if you like green lima beans. They aren't mushy and work well as a side dish or in soups, among other things.
Even rinsing didn't help because it was way too salty and had a lot of MSG. During the lockdown, I bought a case without ever trying it out, which was a huge mistake. Although God loves them, it appears that the growers of these tiny beans did not take full advantage of the long Southern growing season to plump them up. Let's not even talk about the sauce. FAIL!.
Just like the ones you can get at the supermarket.
