The beans are pretty close to those I make at home. When you slow cook them for about 30 minutes and smash them up a bit, they taste good even without ham. Just season with a touch of salt and pepper. Using them as a base for a vegetarian soup, I've combined vegetables and tomato sauce. Besides being very nutritious, it is also very tasty.

All four of the severely damaged cans in the case were in the case. Since the plastic wrapped case of beans was inside an Amazon box, it is unlikely the beans got damaged during shipping. Therefore, even though it appeared like a good deal, about $11 for 12 cans of beans, it turned out to be less great than it seemed. A package of 8 cans of beans costs $11. These beans are very good to me. It is easy to serve them in so many ways because of their versatility. The smoked ham bits I had with them tonight added a nice touch. To give the dish some heat, add onion and green salsa. I enjoyed the taste so much. Bacon bits with beans sound delicious, but I'm not sure how they would taste. Garlic bread of course is a must. I am sure this is very tasty. I like it.

I received a refund right away. There was serious denting on every can. This isn't just small dents on the sides, but crushed lids as well. There was no packing material at all.

The 12-inch version arrived in a 12" box It was packaged on a cardboard tray, but somehow every single can got dented at the seam, either on the top of the can or on the bottom of the can, or A couple of other dents were there as well.
