They are delivered fresh, but be aware that most of the time there are no cold packs and they are not packaged in an insulated bag. This is something I never order in the summer.
I'm not sure if Perdue perfect portions are kosher or halal. Perdue Harvestland chicken, on the other hand, is halal.

Individual packs are sometimes sealed, and sometimes they aren't. It only took one time for chicken juice to contaminate my entire refrigerator. yuck. As a result, I'm now going through all of them! It is the Perdue packing, not Amazon's, that is to blame.
They needed to be trimmed because they were so thin. The veins in some of them were hard and red. They were all slimy, which I assume was due to the juices that had to be packed in, because they didn't smell bad after being rinsed. They were quite tough after cooking, and honestly, the bare frozen chicken breasts were of higher quality, so I'll be buying them again. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any fresh meats on Amazon Fresh. I like that they're individually wrapped so you can take what you need and freeze what you don't; however, I wish the chicken breasts were of better quality.
In two places on the bag, it clearly states: 5 chicken breasts in individual pouches There were only four in my package. Even though the date was marked 2/16/20 (and it is only 2/6/20 today), they were unsure about the freshness. The colors and freshness of the four pieces I received vary greatly.
When unpacking your delivery, double-check the expiration date.
I'm sorry to say this, and believe me when I say that I feel bad about it, but I adore the individual packaging! I despise touching meat, but my husband can't live without it, so I try to prepare it for him on a regular basis. I am a believer in long-term planning. There were no plastics, but I was relieved to find separated breasts in their own bags when I opened the bag. The peel- It's also a lot easier with open corners! I despise products that lack easily accessible corners. I need to get juice on my scissors. such.
They arrived four days after the expiration date. Although the packaging appears to be convenient, I don't want to risk having to throw away groceries at this time.
The odor was sour, as if it had been days since raw meat had been left out. However, when I opened the individual pieces of chicken, it appeared to be in good condition. The flavor was alright, but the texture was a little rubbery. Perdue has left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied. I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence. I'll give it another shot, but I'm not sure I'll succeed. The packaging was convenient, but the rest of the experience was disappointing.
I'm hoping that coming out of the sealed bag with chicken juices isn't normal. Chicken juice had infected everything in my fridge.
