Questions & Answers

Is the chicken sourced from the United States of America?

Yes it is

What kind of expiration date does it have, and how long can you keep it in your cupboard?

I believe the answer would be different depending on the situation. It makes great chicken salad, my son eats it straight from the can in his lunch, and even my little chiuhauha eats it if I run out of other foods she likes. The total cost is $3. 25 cents per can, but it's a 12 oz can with some water in it, so it's only about 10 oz drained. With tuna becoming increasingly expensive and available in fewer and fewer cans, this chicken is a good deal. I hope it appeals to you. It is Cosco's brand if you are a Cosco customer.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET IT?

Costco's house brand is Kirkland Signature, which I picked up today at Costco.

Is it produced in the United States of America?

The label on the can reads "Product of the United States of America" and "Inspected by the United States of America." Agriculture Department. This is a product that I've been using for a long time. COSTCO is where you'll find it. It makes a great dip if you put the chicken in a food processor with some ranch dressing.

Botulism, what the hell is going on here? Each and every can has a significant dent in it
3/5

And I'm not entitled to a refund because. . . You're selling BOTULISM-causing canned chicken breasts. How long have these dented cans been in storage? Hmmm? You guys are a bunch of jerks.

The car was heavily dented when it arrived
3/5

While Kirkland's canned chicken is fine, the seller neglected to include any packing material, and each can was placed separately in the box. They were heavily dented and unusable when they arrived.

Water is being paid for
3/5

The chicken has a great flavor and can be used in salads, soups, and casseroles. The chunks break into shreds and the texture is a little soft. However, according to the label, the drained weight of the can is only 5 ounces (out of a 12-ounce capacity). You're paying more for water than you are for actual chicken (5 ounce can), so you're paying more for water than you are for actual chicken. As a result, I'm having trouble justifying my spending on this.

It's not just chicken, so be careful
3/5

I purchased this to supplement my new puppy's diet and ensure that she was getting enough food because she is a picky eater, but my husband discovered that his contains seasoning and other ingredients. I wouldn't recommend it because they aren't upfront about the fact that these cans contain more than chicken and broth.

Arrived in such a state of disrepair that it was deemed unfit to eat
3/5

Two of the six cans were severely damaged, rendering them unfit for human consumption. Because the packaging was not harmed, these cans were harmed prior to being packed.

Cans with major dents- unfit for human consumption Every single can had a significant dent in it
3/5

All of it had to be thrown away. I've never had a problem ordering canned goods from Amazon. I'm not going to waste any more money on canned chicken. Don't throw your money away.

This product should not be purchased because it has been damaged in transit and may be unsafe to consume
3/5

When the cans arrived, they were crushed. Because the box was not damaged, the product was sent in this manner. The cans were severely damaged. br>br> It's difficult to fathom what they had to go through to arrive in this state. The only way to tell if the inner liner was damaged (and thus rendered the contents unfit for consumption) was to open damaged cans (4 of the 6). That much chicken can't be consumed in one sitting.
