BUYING THIS PRODUCT IS A MISTAKE! I had to stop eating and throw away the rest of this chicken because it was so bad. It was perfectly cooked, but it was tough, chewy, and revolting. It had a synthetic taste to it. It reminded me of a non-profit organization. non-GMO, organic I've accidentally purchased farm-raised chicken in the past, and the fact that they charged a premium for it is both insulting and criminal. Just Bare, in my opinion, should be investigated much more thoroughly by the FDA. If their product actually meets the specifications they claim, they must be doing something else horrible to their food to make it so bad. This chicken is not to be purchased. br>br> Even if it were half the price, you'd be wasting your money and consuming something you shouldn't be eating.
The idea of these being used as cold packs is revolting. Who knows where these bags have been stowed. The bags are wet, and the chicken packs are half-thawed by the time the delivery arrives. Now that I know it's frozen and thawed while being delivered, I've thrown away a lot of thawed chicken.
I do have a problem with the way it's been delivered three times now. Where do you put raw chicken? With the chocolates and chips, how about some meat? That isn't safe, and everything would be ruined if the chicken broke open. Grocery packing instructions should be included on Amazon. I'm hesitant to use them right now because there's no point in getting groceries delivered if you can't use them due to contamination.
This, according to what I've read, is due to GMO chicken. This is also something I've noticed on your Bare organic chicken breast. In light of this, I have my doubts about your organic chicken being truly organic. Please explain why I shouldn't believe this.
Most of the time, we eat foods that are native to the area. We used to buy organic chicken until we learned some unpleasant truths about our 'farmer. ' We used Amazon/Whole Foods until one order was sold out after searching and failing to find a suitable source. This big-ticket item was given to us. Give the box staple a shot. br>br>I was taken aback. I mean that in a positive light. This chicken was nearly two weeks past its sell-by/freeze-by date, it was clean and neatly trimmed in the tray, and it only tasted like chicken (no plastic, chemicals, or other additives). The date-based freezing was crucial. Despite our best efforts, we were infected with the flu. It was comforting to know that when we were ready to eat it, it would still be edible. br>br>Strongly suggested! br>br> And that's putting it mildly. I never expected to say something like this.
The frost bites on these chicken breasts were numerous, and they appeared to have been frozen for a decade. The pink color of fresh meat had faded, and the chicken flavor had faded as well.
Since starting fresh over 6 months ago, I've ordered this chicken nearly every week (according to Amazon, 26 times). The chicken, however, tasted awful the last two times - I had no choice but to discard it. It had been a let down. I'm afraid I won't be able to repurchase it because I don't want to ruin another meal.
Yes, I'm writing an Amazon review for chicken. Back in the day, I used to come here solely to buy books. br>br>This chicken is of excellent quality, far superior to the organic chicken breasts I've purchased from Trader Joe's or other stores. I've bought it from Amazon Fresh several times and it's always delivered on time. br>br>Update for February 2018: I lowered my 5-star rating. from one to four stars One of the breasts in the most recent batch had a flaw. Despite the fact that they were cooked together, one of them was unusually chewy and had to be tossed.
