Questions & Answers

Is that halal chicken?

When I contacted them via Facebook, they informed me that the chicken was not halal.

If it's not halal, why does it show up in a Halal chicken search?

I'm not sure why it appears when I search for "certified humane" as well. The lowest grade standards are set by "American Certified Humane." Fresh should have more certified humane options now that WF has been acquired.

These are frozen, according to one review. Is it true that they arrive frozen?

They aren't frozen in the least. There are two types, in my opinion. One option has been frozen, while the other has not been frozen.

What is the weight of the object?

They're all under a pound in weight. Do not purchase.

For those of you who are unable to make a decision
4/5

I really wanted to write a review because I put this chicken in my cart 5 times and kept removing it because I wasn't sure if I should buy it. br>br>I'M SO HAPPY I DID! br>br>Let's start with the price: I'm not a fan of the price; I believe you could get a better deal if you went to the supermarket yourself. Because my local supermarkets are terrible when it comes to meat, I have to order it fresh from Amazon. This is my first purchase of this brand, and I'm pleased with it because the other fresh market meat I was looking for was no longer available, so I had to find another source of meat. Let's talk about odor for a moment: br>br> Because I had read all of the reviews about how bad the smell was, the first thing I did when I opened the package was to smell it. My chicken had a delicious aroma to it. There wasn't any slimy stuff on the chicken, and there wasn't any liquid in the bottom. That wasn't the case with my chicken, which made cleaning easier and less messy. Let's talk about quantity for a moment: br>br> There are only two breasts, both of which are of average size. To make "more," you could cut each one in half. If you split the pack, you should be able to feed mom, dad, and the child. It depends on whether or not you guys overeat. In that case, two packs will suffice for a total of four people. Let's talk about flavor and texture for a moment: br>br> I cut my chicken into strips for my salad after it was cooked in olive oil. I was also concerned about the chicken's toughness after reading some of the reviews. My chicken was extremely moist and tender. It has a wonderful flavor. Would I buy it again? br>br>Would I recommend it to others? I would, in fact. I also wanted to take pictures for you because the people who were taking pictures weren't very helpful. It's critical that I get a sense of what I'm about to purchase from other people who leave reviews. That was the person I aspired to be. br>br>Hope this helps; I gave it four stars because I had no problems with it; I would have given it five stars if the price had been equal to the value.

Breasts made of wood
3/5

Look it up on the internet. These used to be fantastic, but the last three or four orders have resulted in a strange texture in the cooked breasts. The texture is almost crunchy. It's known as "woody breast," according to my research. The white strips on the chicken are the source of this flavor. The chickens are pushed to grow quickly, which causes their muscles to become more fibrous and tough. What a pity. I'm going to have to look for a new chicken brand because the texture is terrible and I can't eat it. Because of the texture, it is inedible, but it is still safe to eat. If you're brave enough, go ahead and try it.

Hand-Trimmed Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Fillets from Just BARE Chicken are delivered FROZEN! "Quick and ready-to-eat chickens," says the copy for these chickens
3/5

Cooking instructions are included in the package. "However, these chicken breast fillets always arrive FROZEN, and I've been calling customer service for over six months about this issue. While the chicken should be delivered chilled (refrigerated) to avoid spoilage, it should not be frozen. According to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service website, "prior to 1997, poultry could be sold as 'fresh' even if it was frozen 'as solid as a block of ice. ' However, consumer concerns about 'rock' frozen poultry being sold as 'fresh' led USDA to reconsider the term 'fresh' as it applies to raw whole poultry and cuts of poultry. " Furthermore, national press coverage and testimony at public hearings revealed a strong desire for the term 'fresh' to be reintroduced. defined. For consumers, 'fresh' means whole poultry and cuts that have never been below 26 degrees Fahrenheit. This is in line with consumer expectations for 'fresh' poultry, i. e. , poultry that has not been frozen. , but not frozen solid or hard to the touch Fresh poultry should always be labeled with the phrase "keep refrigerated. " "br>br>From the AmazonFresh site, here's the product description:br>br>"No added hormonesbr>No antibiotics - ever! br>Vegetable and grain fedbr>Third-party animal humane certifiedbr>Traceable to family farmsbr>Born, raised, and harvested in the United Statesbr>br>Freshness Guaranteebr>br>AmazonFresh ensures that every product is delivered to your home well within the manufacturer's recommended use by, sell by, best by, or expiration date. "br>br>In practice: 1. br>br> Because the chicken is frozen, it will not be ready to eat on the day of delivery.
2. The texture and flavor of the chicken change when it is frozen. The color of the chicken is also affected by freezing.
3. A 5-pound chicken should come with a 5-pound bag of potatoes. The "Sell/Freeze by" date is 10 days. The expiration date, on the other hand, is frequently three years. From the time of delivery, it will be four days. I've even gotten chicken breast fillets from AmazonFresh that were *expired*. br>br>Now that this product has been removed from the website, I'm concerned that the problem will not be resolved and that no chicken breasts will be available for purchase. In September of 2018, I started shopping on Amazon Fresh. "Just BARE Chicken, *Organic* Boneless Skinless Breast Fillets, 1 pound packages" was one of my favorite products. " This chicken was of excellent quality and had a delicious flavor. The fact that the packages had a 5-day "sell by/freeze by" date appealed to me. 10 days following the delivery date All good things, alas, must come to an end at some point. It was the start of the Great Ice Age of Just BARE Chicken. By early November, this product had major flaws: (1) the chicken was delivered frozen, and/or (2) the "Sell by/Freeze by" date had either *expired* or would expire within a few days of delivery. br>br>By early January, the Just BARE Chicken, Organic Boneless Skinless Breast Fillets were no longer available, pending an investigation, despite repeated calls to customer service. This "resolution" has yet to be fulfilled as of April 5, 2019. This product is still out of stock.

A strange texture can be found on occasion
3/5

I was beginning to believe it was my fault, but I believe there is a problem with the meat. They have a strange texture in some places after I cook them (I chop them up and use them in Indian curries). It feels like I'm biting into a firm, raw mushroom rather than textured chicken. It occurs far too frequently. Next time, I'm going to try a new brand.

I wish I'd read the reviews first before making a purchase! What
3/5

I wish I'd read the reviews first before making a purchase! Maybe one whole chicken breast, cut in half, was what I got. That is not at all what the photo depicts. When I opened the package, I discovered that the massive label had covered all of the fat that had not been trimmed, making the actual chicken even smaller. Apparently, my concept of hand trimming differs significantly from theirs. I bought two packages, thinking I'd be getting a quantity similar to what I'd get at Walmart, but it wasn't even close. At Walmart, I can get six for ten dollars. In a tray, there should be seven chicken breasts, not two!.

You pay for a fourteen-ounce package of chicken, but you only get eleven ounces
3/5

It occurs on a regular basis. This company's packages routinely contain less chicken by weight than the package label indicates. I placed an order for a fourteen-ounce package that came with eleven ounces of chicken. They always manage to keep the weight under control and never exceed it. It's a shame, because this chicken is well-made and tasty.
