This was the beer I chose to try, since I wanted a lighter beer that had a lemony flavour. To be more precise, I was aiming for sort of a lemonade-ish Shandy, which I cannot achieve. However, I was expecting that to be the case. I still enjoy the beer (both 2 weeks post bottling) a lot. Tastes like Belgian beer and is heavier than most lemonades, I like that. There is no hint of lemon I did not taste any banana fruity taste as well. Another reviewer mentioned a strong banana flavor. While it's a good beer, I won't be having it again since I was not expecting it to be like that.
Even though I used dry yeast, I made a yeast starter for this. I just wanted to test something. I will begin with the first two Three days of fermentation were, to put it mildly, aggressive. I've never made a Saison before, and I'm not familiar with what they should taste like. I've done enough kits that I can usually make a pretty good beer, but this is a bit hard thought from the description that it would be a light lemony-flavored drinkable beer, but mine turned out to be very similar to a bad imitation of Budweiser.
