It wasn't necessary (didn't have to) to thaw them in the microwave first. Whenever I used a tablespoon of something, they would thaw on their own by the time I was done making anything.

The onions do taste good, and they are onions. I love adding white onions to hot dogs, salads, and other baked ingredients, but they are always mushy and nothing like I would expect. Still use them in soups, casseroles, meatloaf, and any other baked or cooked dish, and they are wonderful.
