As Julie points out, the origins of this item are mainland China, which I know does not appeal to you. In any case, it is a good product and we have not received any complaints about it. Chilean prawns or wild gulf shrimp from the United States of America are also excellent options. I thank Dan Wholey for his help
It doesn't make sense to There are two packs in the package. I threw out the first two because they were so fishy.
In short, we were being taken advantage of with standard shipping to the west coast. We had inexpensive shipping and most of our customers ordered from California/ Washington/ Oregon, which resulted in us losing money every time we shipped. Our shipping is cheaper on our own website where we ship less and sometimes for free. We changed everything to two day air for 40 dollars and now we break even on shipments to the west coast. Louisiana and West Virginia are the two main producers. As well as North America and Europe, Asia produces it. All crawfish are edible, but the best are in Louisiana, much like the Wid Gulf shrimp is considered the gold standard. Asian products are acceptable but should only be used in preparations with a large amount of flavor, such as gumbo Using LA crawfish is the best choice if it is going to be relatively naked. In the Q&A section of Amazon, the vendor admitted to me that I made a mistake when I ordered these There are much higher shipping costs here than on their own website, as much as twice as much. The questions and answers weren't clear to me The fact that these aren't grown in the USA would have made me realize they were not grown in the US, so I was somewhat disappointed to see China on the package. There’s really no good reason for Robert Wholey & Company to exist The Company. I CAN'T put this in the description aside from the fact that it probably won't help sell the product. Despite not expecting them to taste like fresh, I thought they were pretty watery and flavorless. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend them.
Crawfish has long been my favorite food. I've been buying it from this company since I was a kid and I can't get enough. The flavor is excellent, and I use it to make etoufee, in Indian dishes, and of course in dishes spiced with Italian flavorings. There is one thing to be aware of though if a person has a shrimp allergy, it might not be to crawfish, BUT, recently a friend who had no allergy to shrimp and lobster broke out in hives after eating In my opinion, crawfish do not belong in the shellfish category, but in its own class.

China produces food why would anyone want to buy it? With interest rates that are usurious. Cajun crawfish cost $20 per pound in Louisiana. You can buy good quality products at a lower price if you shop around.
A crawfish can be found in about 250 types around There is no way that they taste closer to those from the Gulf Coast than those from China.
