What's the point of adding sugar to something that nature has already A natural sweet potato is a popular substitute for English and Irish You can taste only processed syrup in these. Are there any diabetics out there?.
There are a lot of these that I enjoy. It is true that sweet potato tots will burn in the oven more easily than white ones. The papers don't stick and don't make a mess (all they need is parchment paper). In addition, they prevent burning by being turned about 2/3 of the way through cooking.
It was stupid of me not to read the back of the bag for the ingredients. Their addition of sugar was shameful! What's the reason? Sweet potatoes already seem to be quite sweet to me. This candy-like treat contains so much sugar that it tastes.
The taste is pretty good, but after I ate one serving, I thought it was an awfully sweet treat. Upon further investigation, I discovered that they contain a lot of added sugar, and would be much better without it. My goal isn't for tots to contain too much sugar.
It's been a while since I've had fries, so I've tried the regular sweet potato fries from Amazon, then the waffle cut fries, then these puffs. They weren't really as good as I expected. Can't figure it out. It is hard for me to choose between waffle cut fries and regular fries. I liked the regular fries, but they were a bit greasy. You will have to watch out not to overcook the waffle cuts, Puffs such as these would probably be best suited for children.
There was something very wrong with the tots in the middle. I'm not sure if it's a brand problem or if they aren't true tots, but their center was very mushy and they hardly crisped. The sweet potato slices are an "okay" substitute for tater tots, but I'd rather just have fries. You can make them just as easily if you slice and bake a sweet potato.
I bought them as part of my Amazon Fresh order on a whim, and I am glad I did. After months of storing them in the freezer before I finally ate them, I'm glad I did. My air fryer makes these crispy wings fast and easy. They're firm but not too dense, and they have a great flavor. After cooking the second half of the bag, I gave the other half to my sister and now she will buy them for her toddler as healthier snacks and sides.
Sweet potatoes are naturally sweet, so I don't understand why they have added sugar to almost all of the sweet potato fries/tots products.
SWEET POTATOES ARE SWEET, SO YOU DON'T NEED TO ADD SUGAR.
