Selected User Reviews For DiGiorno Supreme Frozen Pizza on a Rising Crust
When you order a DiGiorno supreme pizza, you know exactly what you'll get. You're experiencing heartburn, and you're trying to figure out what's causing it. a feeling of dread, an extra pound or two, and the knowledge that you've just done something extremely wrong You also get a delicious-smelling and-tasting Pizza for those times when you don't have time to eat and need to stop by the 24-hour store for something. It is what it is, and it is perfect in every way.
I, on the other hand, am a fan. It's not the best-tasting pizza you'll ever have. However, for me, it is more than adequate. br>br>This pizza is topped with olives. Olives vex me. But, thanks to a tasty combination of flavors, I was able to eat it. In general, the flavors are well-balanced. br>br>I'm a big fan of the rising crust. The dough is of a pleasant texture. This pizza has a nice heft to it as well. br>br> Unlike most other brands, this one is significantly heavier. In one sitting, this can easily feed two or three people. The number of toppings on the pizza is adequate. br>br>This is a great buy when it's on sale. Is this something I'd be willing to shell out $8 for? No, I doubt it. However, for $5, it's a great bargain. Other pizza brands are lighter by a significant margin. br>br>For example, if you're going to do this on a regular basis, you should definitely try some of the major brands. Figure out what you like and don't like; for example, I now eat frozen pizza once or twice a week. In recent years, I've become accustomed to baking a frozen pizza. And I've figured out which ones are my favorites. Don't be afraid to take a chance and try something new. It will undoubtedly come in handy in the future. br>br>On a frozen pizza scale of 1 to 5, this is a 4/5. Particularly attractive at sale prices. DiGiorno deserves a lot more credit than he gets right now. Is this the best-tasting pizza you've ever had? No. However, it is more than adequate!.
Add some extras like mushrooms and extra pepperoni, sliced kalamata olives, artichoke heart quarters and pepperoncini slices, and whatever else you like, then top it with parmesan (or parmesan/romano/asiago blend), Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes to taste when it comes out of the oven. br>br>However, if you're in a hurry, this is probably the most satisfying pizza in its class even if you It outweighs the competition in terms of weight. The crust is excellent (unless you prefer thin and crispy), and it is neither greasy nor rubbery like pan pizza (unless you microwave it later). This causes all bread to become rubbery). Even when piled high with extra toppings, it cooks quickly. It also works well on a pizza slate or metal pizza pan, though you may need to adjust the time and temperature to get it just right. This pizza is even better if you over-cook it. Cooking it (which some people do on purpose for that half-hour of fame) taste of charred cheese). br>br>I prefer this to the rising crust Freschetta supreme, but I'll buy it in a pinch if this one is unavailable. (One vexing Freschetta feature is the inclusion of a large amount of cornmeal in the crust; as any current or former pizza pro knows, corn meal is used sparingly on the bottom of pizzas cooked in slate ovens to keep the pizza from sticking; Corn meal isn't a traditional pizza ingredient, and there's no other reason to use it. )br>br>The only similar product that comes close to DiGiorno is Safeway's own Signature Select rising-star brand. supreme crust. There are fire-roasted bell peppers and a mildly spicy sausage in this dish. Each one has a slightly different crust texture, but for me, it's all about the sauce and the sweet-savory balance. It has a sour ratio to it. In this regard, DiGiorno is my favorite (even in other varieties such as thin, pan, hand-tossed, and so on). DiGiorno outperforms low-cost brands such as Celeste and Pete's and Red Baron in every way I can think of. There are a few high-end options available. There are a lot of "gourmet" frozen pizzas on the market these days, but they're all very overpriced. I'll stick to this one because it's reasonably priced. It's frequently on sale for $5 or less. Unless you're a glutton, one of these should last you two meals (and it contains all four food groups, since tomato is technically a fruit), so it'll cost you around $2. Each meal costs 50 dollars. It's difficult to find fault! It's also quick to prepare, taking only 10 minutes to prepare. 15 minutes (time will vary depending on the temperature of your oven). br>br>DiGiorno uses a lot of chicken in his dishes (i. e. Less pork) is used in their sausage and pepperoni, which reduces fat and cholesterol without compromising taste (at least for me). As a result, I consider this to be a plus as well. I'd be thrilled if they made a pork-free version. Chicken sausage and turkey pepperoni are used to make a gluten-free version.
Excellent pizza, far superior to Domino's. In 22 minutes, you'll be ready to eat. I docked a star because these pizzas could use a little less sauce. I wish there was an option for "less sauce. ".
This is less expensive on Amazon than at my local supermarket. It's frozen and fresh at the same time. I like to buy a lot of these for my kids and their friends because they are a quick and easy meal.
It's perfect for those nights when you don't have time to cook!.
Quick delivery of high-quality pizza. The cost is the same as in the neighborhood supermarket. Even though it is July in Texas and the temperature outside is 100 degrees, the ice cream was still frozen when it was delivered.
What exactly is it about California that DiGiorno is almost always the best option? Flour, water, yeast, sauce, and cheese are all ingredients in this recipe. What is it that makes it so difficult to comprehend?.
