It has a soggy pastry

I ate a very small amount of beef with barely enough gravy to cover a teaspoon of coarse ground beef and a very small amount of gravy. It is the NO. 1 rip off in history. The company should be ashamed of itself for putting this product on the market. *I am demanding a refund! What is the purpose of the bridge? W h er e is a bridge? It is NOT recommended.

A smaller size

I was getting peckish for my own food after 5 years living in the United States and ordered these at first thinking they were the same as those I had in the UK, and they are. I would like some more in the future, but if the postage went down with more tins ordered, I would probably order around 20 at a time. The tin is the same height, but the width is about 6 inches instead of the usual 10 to 11 inches.

The top crust is crisp and mostly covered in I have never tried this product before, and I was a little top of the can was easy to open and bake with the product still in it

The top of the crust was flaky, but after that it was hard to cut into, as the bottom was very soggy and the filling had a very small amount of My chances of ordering this item again are slim.

Did a pie eater eat them all? Fray Bentos Steak and Kidney pies have been a favorite of mine for over 55 years and I still get a kick out of eating them

Though the flaky pastry is absolutely incredible, the onion didn't taste at all like onion to me. I had the minced beef and onion version, but the onion didn't taste like anything. Also, I believe that modern-day tins are smaller than they used to be, and there is a lack of meat. The meal was still very tasty since it was served with mashed potatoes and peas.

This is a good meal to have on hand

Once baked, the crust on the Beef and Onion Pie was excellent. The amount of meat was about right (although a little more would have been better), and the amount of onion was about right as well. The preparation required for this dish was minimal, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. If the pies were available in a package of more at a slightly lower price, that would be nice. Reordered many times in the past.

Gravy flavored with savory ingredients

It is like all Fray Bentos Pies that there is not much meat to begin with, but once it is minced it is even more difficult hand, the flavors are very savory, with lots of gravy and a delicious, puffy crust. This can go on the shelf for several I loved this dessert when I was a child, and childhood tastes can serve as powerful reminders for good or bad.

Your money is wasted if you waste it

I grew up in the 1960s, and now this is nothing like it used to be. On its front label, this pie says it has minced beef, but I found absolutely no beef in it. For those who are only interested in gravy and pastry, this is the item for them, however, I advise not using it. Totally pointless. I wasted my time and money on that.
