Moving across the country to the west coast does not change my mind, and I wouldn't change my mind if I had to leave my hometown. A Chicago local favorite, Buona beef is the best kept secret in the city. In the restaurant, Turano rolls are used (which you can't get outside Italy) and the Giardiniera is in chunks and not all mashed together. tops in terms of taste and isn't fatty or gristly like other beef places. All the flavors are perfectly balanced. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the packaging and the way it was cooked. It's hard to leave, but enjoying a top notch beef with my family brings back all of Probably every other month during this time period if the prices were more palatable, but for now I may get this once a month. Lived in Chicago when I was a kid, now Having Italian beef without having to fly back home is the best way to get it.
