My guess is about seven inches as a length for each stalk when we received it. The width of each stalk is about 1/2 inch, the length I am not sure, I did not measure them when we received the plant. In over two years, the plant has grown to fourteen inches tall, and I haven't seen any noticeable signs of aging. As far as I know, mine came with 10 stalks, but I am not sure how it differs.
Do I also remove the rubber bands and plastic wrapping? I don't want to sound stupid, but what about the plastic and the plastic wrapping?
Make sure to use fresh, distilled or bottled water when filling the container or pot. Use tap water on the plant the following day after leaving it in a warm place over night to allow the chlorine to evaporate. Always make sure the vase or container has at least one inch of water in it every week, and change the water once a week.

My plan is to dump the water out and replace it once a month Fresh filtered water should be added. Make sure you use filtered water that is at room temperature. Do not use really cold water, as this can shock the roots. There is a risk that plants will be damaged. HEY GUYS! I just saw this a couple of days ago. A vase made out of elephants & the elephant vase are adorable If you want to place it on a desk or shelf, then its size is perfect. Any room would benefit from this cute accent.

The elephant is a nice touch and the stalks look good. As it occurred to me, I actually split up the 10 stalks into two plants since they fit pretty snugly in the little pot. Earlier that year, I had purchased a bamboo plant from a panta planter that I had kept for a long time. So I was actually looking for a "replacement plant" when I bought this one. One (or more) of the plants is working fine. I put small pebbles in one and little shells in the other to stabilize them. My green thumb is not as strong as it used to be which is one of the reasons why I like bamboo plants, which are Plus, it's a good way to add a bit of greenery to a small room with a limited amount.
Three days after placing my order, my order arrived. It looks as if the bamboo stalks are in good health. It seems like I will need a bigger vase/pot in a few months, but for now I like it very much!.
It is a lucky bamboo plant that my husband and I both love. I was astonished to find out that the bamboo was in such good shape when it arrived. The care that was taken to ship it all the way from California to the east coast was much appreciated as I was worried it would arrive dead or damaged. There were, however, still green stalks on all of them. It was a good job of packaging that nothing broke or was My plant is still alive today after buying it in May!.
